Randy's Southside Diner is a beloved local establishment that captures the essence of a classic diner experience. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of enjoying a traditional breakfast at this charming eatery, and it was an experience that transported me back in time.
The traditional breakfast at Randy's Southside Diner exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I entered, the cozy and nostalgic atmosphere enveloped me, with its retro decor and friendly staff. The menu offered all the classic favorites one would expect from a diner, and I opted for a classic combination of eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast.
The breakfast was a true delight. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with a golden yolk and fluffy whites. The bacon was crispy and flavorful, adding a savory touch to the meal. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the toast was perfectly toasted and served with a side of butter and jam.
What stood out most was the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Each element of the breakfast was carefully cooked and seasoned, resulting in a delicious and satisfying meal that hit all the right notes.
The service at Randy's Southside Diner was friendly and efficient, with the staff providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous, ensuring that no one left hungry.

Read moreI opted to have breakfast at this place, and the experience was not good, I ordered two fried eggs with sausage links, pancakes and coffee, and here is why this visit to this restaurant was bad, first I ordered fried eggs and I got scrambled eggs, second ,I ordered sausage links and I got patties, the pancakes were the only food I enjoy, but I wanted to enjoy the whole meal they offered me the right order but since the restaurant was crowded the waitress told me if given the chance I could have my correct order in about 15 minutes, I had already waited for 15 minutes before that fiasco,so I left. The restaurant went somewhere else. Too bad I was really hungry and by the time I went to another place I wasn't hungry anymore because of what happened at Randy's. Another thing that was annoying was that this restaurant is having a surcharge for eggs, my family and myself made a decision, if there is a surcharge in our orders we will suspend the tips for the. waitresses to make room for the surcharge for the eggs. So friends if you visit this restaurant, make sure there is no surcharge for any item on your order, but if there is a surcharge , Do Not tip, that's too bad, the waitresses work hard for what they do, now they will have to put up with the management decision for the surcharge and less tips. Go figure. Friends, most of the food is good, if you get what you order. Prices are another I have visited several restaurants and I rate them for whatever impressions I see on several categories. As a result I have a 17.337 rate on Google ,and I am a Master surveyor. Means that make me an expert on anything restaurant food. I will rate this restaurant a 6 out 10. And I will recommend it according to food and service, maybe my event...
Read moreI'm not sure what went wrong this morning at Randy's but when they fail, they fail big. With a 4.4 star rating it sounded like a great place to try. The wife and I both love diners for being fast and having simple good breakfasts. When we were seated only a few tables in the whole restaurant were occupied. It took our waitress well over 5 minutes just to acknowledge us and another 5 minutes to return with 2 over half full black coffees. Both the wife and I ordered "over easy eggs, link sausage, hash browns and toast". That took almost 20 minutes to arrive at our table. (In an 80% empty restaurant?) In the mean time both of our coffee's had been without a refill for well over 10 minutes. All as our waitress walked by our table at least 4 or 5 times. Then when we finally received our breakfasts my "over easy" eggs had runny (uncooked) egg whites. And both of our link sausage orders were raw in the center. I complained to our waitress about my runny eggs and the raw link sausages. She agreed to replace them and over 10 minutes later returns with another order of "over easy eggs" with more runny egg whites and no replacement fully cooked link sausages. I talked to the waitress again and eventually the manger. I was basically told by the manager that I'm stupid and that "over easy" means runny uncooked egg whites at "Randy's". And we are both stupid because the raw link sausages were cooked perfectly. After some back and forth with the manager she did agree to "comp" our meals. So we went someplace else and had a wonderful "cooked" breakfast that was safe to eat. I have never wanted to give a 1 star review but today Randy's went out of it's way to...
