Tequilas Mexican restaurant is a very nice place to be when you're craving Mexican food, but not just any Mexican food but, superb and delicious authentic Mexican flavor food, the only thing when you go to tequilas is make sure that you are really hungry! The appetizers are really loaded and at times it's so filling that just the appetizers that you will be almost full to get any more food, so an idea is to skip the chips and salsa and the magnificent little cabbage salad and go directed to the great variety of plates the restaurant has to offer, anything imaginable in the way of Mexican dishes on the menu, and if you order anything to drink make sure you don't get full before finishing your meal, if you like water to your meal just take sips, you want to enjoy your meal to the max, if you're a soda person or a beer drinker this two items can and will fill you up to the point that you will not have room for the great foods in your plate, by choosing tequila's you can do no wrong,so take yourself and the family to a night to remember and experience. that will keep remind you where your great Mexican food came from and make planes for the next visit, I will recommend this great restaurant to anyone that is tired of the most restaurants imitation Mexican food out there, some call it Americanised mexican food. Read moreI would have loved to give them 5 stars. The food was delicious. We came to my sisters birthday dinner and had my own separate tab, for myself and my child but no one left happy. Only food complaint on my side was how shallow the dish of Queso was for what they charged. My biggest complaint and issue is that once the meal was finished I was over charged. The kids menu from which I ordered said 6.99 for a kids cheeseburger. And then was charged for a large fountain drink when my child got a very small sprite (no refills were offered to her) the bigger cup in the picture for comparison was water. When I brought these discrepancies to the waitresses attention I was told that the menu i looked at was not the correct prices and I was charged correctly. Apparently a very small kids cup of sprite (with no refill) is the same price as a large soda. Who knew? It doesn't say this on the menu. Well the waitress refused to honor the listed menu price of the kids cheeseburger or even offer a second drink for my child to compensate for the large I was charged. She even predetermined her tip for me. I wouldn't have minded paying the over charged prices or the predetermined tip for 1 adult and a 5 year old child to have some good Mexican food if they would have honored the listed prices and tried to make it right but sadly i had them remove the tip. Even a few others who joined in with separate tabs were confused and outraged by the over charge for the...
Read moreThis is a classic establishment with above average food. I was here for several meals and everything was good. Along with the chips and salsa initially brought to the table was a small side of cabbage with red onions and jalapeño. Move over coleslaw - this little dish is out of this world. I talked with the lady who made it, but my Spanish is not so good. Just enough jalapeño to give it a bite and I'm assuming it was tossed in a vinegar as there was nothing creamy about it. The salsa was also good: chunky and not overly hot with a lot of flavor. The house margaritas were traditional and very good. I ate tamales, steak ranchero, but the knock-out entree is their carnitas enchiladas. Good carnitas are hard to find and these were superb. Served with their green chili and what I think I remember (blame it on the margaritas) being feta cheese they were so good that I had them twice. The staff is warm and kind. A special nod to Jose - a true gentleman who made sure that I never ran out of anything. Just be aware that the plates coming from the kitchen are very hot and the portion sizes are very, very generous. My thanks to them all for a...
