Parkway Tropics — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

Would I consider this place a high end strip club? No, not by any means. But, it's not a trashy one, either.

I've visited this club a few times, and I normally take friends and occasionally dates here. I can't say I've ever had a bad time/experience during any of my stopovers. The cover charge is very low, and in a given night, I can get away with spending $50 max. I would highly advise against using a card in this or any similar establishments for obvious reasons. Remember, in a strip club, cash will always be king.

From what I've witnessed, the staff seem very friendly, but do not tolerate idiocy. As long as you are amiable, follow the rules, and are courteous of them, then they will be respectful of you. The bouncer in particular was very polite when going through the ID process.

The club is rather small, but still has a lot to offer. There is seating at the bar, and in the form of round tables surrounding the stage. It's darkly lit, with the majority of its spot lights aimed at the stage and pool table. The stage consists of the main floor near the back center of the room, and the walk-way that extends towards the middle.

The dancers that I have spoken too are very fun. Often times, I will ask them questions while receiving a dance, and they're more than happy to oblige me with answers. One piece of advice that I received from a girl was that she uses Coco-butter to keep her skin soft (something I have started doing upon her recommendation). A lot of them are pretty well versed on the pole, while others admit to not even touching it during their routines. I particularly enjoy their many different outfits.

One of their special offers for bachelor parties, is that the soon to be groom will receive a three-way lap dance on the center stage. I thought this was extremely hilarious to watch, but I imagine the guy enjoyed his time in the hot seat nonetheless.

This place isn't fancy, but for what it is, it's pretty alright in my books. I've yet to have anything negative to say, and if strip clubs are your thing, I would definitely recommend Parkway...

We were there to celebrate my son's birthday. We are from out of town, so we didn't have enough kids to invite for an official party even though that's all he asked for for his birthday. The staff was friendly and helpful in making his birthday special. We ordered their cake and were excited to find out that they deliver them personally even if you didn't schedule a party.

As far as play time, I was unsure about the unlimited option, but grew to love it quickly. We paid for 1.5 hrs and it was perfect. I didn't stress over them spending all of their tokens on just one thing. I didn't stress about them "wasting" tokens on something they probably wouldn't like. I was able to just let them go explore and have fun.

The worker at the prize counter was very patient. She also immediately rounded up. We were easily able to buy an additional prize for the birthday boy too.

If there was anything I didn't like, it was the small toddler moving skee-ball balls around, but I don't think that's so much about the business as it is about the parents that weren't supervising. But, it's nice to be somewhere that has the extra level of safety that I don't have to stand next to my child at all times. Instead of matching hand stamps, they now take a picture of the family together with your phone (or you can choose to just do a family selfie). It’s my favorite bar in town! Every time I come in, the bartender remembers what I drink, the girls are flirtatious & having fun, and the music is always great! I was really nervous my first time visiting, but I have made many new friends here since then! Sometimes, the vibe can feel “slow” because the girls are doing VIP dances in the back, so you won’t see many of them on the stage or bouncing around, but if you wait a little while, they WILL come out to play! I also like that couples can come in & have fun together here.
