I was browsing Uber eats looking for some biscuits and gravy. The good: it was a killer biscuit.
The bad: that ain't normal gravy, that should be called something else didn't even resemble gravy, had freaking giant onions in there. For biscuits and gravy, gravy should be white - gray, this stuff was like brown and so seasoned I could hardly take a bite, way over powering, it was truly awful threw it away. I sincerely hope I somehow got the wrong order...I have never had at any restaurant, or anyone's house or made myself biscuits and gravy with large onions in there. Complete abomination of what biscuits and gravy are supposed to be. They are savory this was freaking almost spicy with all that freaking seasoning. Like I said I pray to God I got the wrong this this was hands down the absolute worst biscuits and gravy ever, and if it's there spin on it, just rename the damn thing to something else so people are not duped like I was. Because I Uber eats, I paid 25 dollars for something I threw in the garbage. (25$ was not there price, it was with ubereats and everything)
Just looked at reviews and someone else said the same thing season to the point of not being able to eat it. Just rename the freaking dish, and save yourself the negative feed back. That was disgusting, and I feel like if you just named it something else people would not expect 1 thing and get something else they can't even eat. The other customer came in and said you guys were nice enough to give her a free biscuit with the gravy, but if your getting feedback like this, just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet's get the important stuff out of the way first. The prices are fair. The service is attentive. The food is good. Ingredient quality, flavor and presentation are all fine. I will be back. So WHY NOT five stars? Well, the difference between eating at home and being served a meal boils down to an experience. If I find your place on Google maps, and you are not open during posted hours, that's a demerit. If you are closed for a week, and run out of stuff on your second day back, that's a demerit. A great experience doesn't include hearing "we just ran out." There should always be a fresh keg to hook up when the old one blows. Running low on CO2 is not a good look. Selling out a regular menu item in the middle of a Saturday is not a good look. Especially when that item shares a name with your restaurant. This does not add up to the kind of experience that keeps 'em coming back. Nor does it tell the customer that your new business is run smoothly and professionally. I have some concerns about whether Agora will be around for very long. Try it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy honey and I were traveling, on a very long roadtrip and decided to stop in Grants Pass for the night. It was also my birthday. Once we got lodging secured it was kind of late for dinner but we started searching and found Agora on Google with great reviews. Off we went. Upon arrival we were great d and told it was pasta night and the list of specials sounded lovely but included mushrooms- when I mentioned I didnāt like mushrooms the chef promptly offered to make something off of their regular menu even though they werenāt really serving those items at the time. Not only was the food delicious (my honey is still talking about the lasagna) but we were so well taken care of. I highly recommend giving this...
