Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Grants Pass

Went to get dinner for my family and got 2 teen girls who didn't even know what options the soda machine had, accepted my order for a brownie and instead, offered a cookie (I was looking at the treats and didn't see the brownies at all, especially as they were shoving the patriotic treat in my face as another option and figured it was something like they had the brownies in the back and warmed them up or something, I didn't know. I don't normally go there and don't plan to again)

Instead, I leave, get home, look in the bag and there's no brownie. I called and they claim it was at the front and I should have grabbed it . I told them i never saw the brownies when I was looking. I asked if I could just get a refund since I couldn't get it, they refused and said to come back and get it which, i was low on gas and couldn't. They said that was too bad and refused the refund again. I asked if they were able to just deliver it as they had a neon sign in the building stating they do delivery. They refused as it cost a fee. Didn't offer if I wanted to pay that fee or anything, just straight up turned down the option entirely.

I then contacted the company asking for my refund who came back at me with a "I see your not a rewards member" and I thought "oh that may be the only way they could send the refund is if the card is on file on the account?" No. It was to make themselves feel better like their job was done by sending me...

A free side....

...so they get the money for the item, send a free side coupon and that's good to them....I just want my money back and to never go back there as they don't have great customer service and apparently can't single out a brownie and refund you your money for the item you never got.

I'll be sure to let my friends know to steer clear...

The food is decent for what it is but a bit pricey. I was gifted some sandwich coupons to try it out (I've been living at a hotel as a tree fell on my house and it was a decent, easy way to feed my kids). The first time I used one, it was no issue. The second time I went to use one, one of the employees took a bit to decide if he was going to take it and I said "I was told these are perfectly valid a couple of days ago" and he asked me multiple questions like, where did I get the coupon cards. They decide to let me use my coupon and another employee pipes up and informs me that I can use my coupons until the end of the week and then no more.... Even though the expiration date is 12/2023. The staff at this location went above and beyond to help us this week as we prepared a reception after a funeral. We needed something to feed about 50 people but not a full meal. We went to the store to discuss there catering type options. The manager helped us find what we needed. We chose a sandwich cut in thirds and then individually wrapped to comply with Covid stuff. Then the order was set for delivery. It was delivered on time with everything we needed, plates, napkins, and condiments. The delivery person was kind and helpful! Good job Jimmy Johns you made...
