After a rough day, I was famished. I googled “tacos,” and looked through all the choices. Tijuana’s Birria stood out, so I headed that way. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly. It was clean, the artwork was cool, and I asked the man behind the counter what he recommended. He was happy to share recommendations based on different popular menu items. I ordered the crispy red tacos (3) with cheese and a horchata. The man showed me where to get fresh salsa and other fresh mix-ins. I loved the variety- onions, fresh radishes, cilantro, salsa, cabbage, etc. all very fresh. By the time I sat down, he brought out a huge mug of delicious horchata. After a few sips, he brought my food as well- very fast! The tacos were delicious and the sauce was decadent, full of flavor, very savory. I’m so happy I found this excellent, authentic place....
Read morePrices here are astronomically high, two people should not go into a bare bones place like this and walk out with the $85 bill. They set their lowest tipping option at 15%. The food was OK at best, but definitely not worth the prices. They are charging you can go to a full on restaurant with atmosphere and pay half the price of what you would pay here. I will not go back just based on prices alone. I don’t know if they’re just over pricing to make up for starting the business or what but There are places in town where you can order the same amount of food better Atmosphere and pay a quarter of what you would pay here. I got three tacos that were just meat and shell, she got a quesadilla which was really good and then we got two burritos to go for lunch the next day and the bill was $85. Prices alone deter me from...
Read moreI would give a 5 star, but I’m going to have to give a four star for one reason. This is the ONLY restaurant that serves birria tacos in town that DOES NOT include the consommé with your order. It’s separate from the tacos, and you have to ask for it. I don’t mind paying extra for the consommé, but they DO NOT EVER tell you that the consommé is not included with the birria tacos, and it’s frustrating when I call in an order to go and come home with no consommé. It literally ruins the mood, and diminishes the experience tremendously. If I ate here often I would remember to ask for it, but it’s not often I order from here, and I never remember to ask for it. I will change this to a 5 star when they start making it a habit of informing the customers (especially over the phone to go orders) that the consommé is...
