I was patronizing at your location of 2.0 taco and tequila bar in the 2610 North International Parkway terminal E location Dallas Fort Worth airport TX 75261. My Server was a Tanner V check up ticket number 446 table 15 guest count one food is ordered at approximately 6 PM on three 925.
I observed the manager and or employee personnel listed in the subject matter of the complaint as a Laura place two 6 to 8 quart Cambro containing citrus with no labels or dates to properly identify the items let alone their expiration for business use
I notified the bartender Tanner, V, and a very calm and polite manner” hey man, someone just put some citruses in your cooler that didn’t have a label or date” Upon looking in the cooler, Tanner realized that I was accurate so he went back to tell the personnel who had put them there on my discovery
The employee named Laura then came up to me, which should be on your cameras as I noticed there are several in your Bar area and began a very aggressive conversation about the fact that I don’t work in her establishment and until I do work in establishment, it is none of my business what she puts in that cooler stating the fact that they throw them away at the end of the night anyway so there’s nothing wrong and it’s none of my business
I there an informed the employee name Laura of TABC and food handler codes, to labeling and dating food items with their specific dates of expiration and times of use
Her response was well you do know I can also refuse your service and ask you to leave anytime I want to so I think you should stop
My response was that this is a professional courtesy, and legally you still have to comply to TBC and serve safe food handler laws in your local jurisdiction, which does not excuse you from labeling dating all food items in service
I also informed her that I do this for a living and her response was well. You don’t do it here and she walked away.
First and foremost, it was beyond. She really wanted to have her come out and argue with me at the bar and assume taking on the role of kicking me out over a friendly reminder to label and date all food items that are within production during business hours.
And completely unprofessional and unnecessary demeanor of this staff member will be noted and shared with the professional community, but also unreasonable I will no longer patronize this establishment.
To reiterate what cameras will show if they are of working disposition, I was not rude loud or disrespectful with the employee who chose to be confrontational and unprofessional, nor was I with Tanner while in the establishment
Tanner v was great...
Read moreI've never had a terrible taco until today.
I ordered a bean and avocado taco. The waiter let me know that instead of avocado it would be guacamole, which was fine with me. It's a bean and avocado taco...how can that go wrong, well...I'll tell you.
It was 85% lettuce, with far too many large pieces.
It was a dollop of guac, comparable to the size of a maraschino cherry. It was also very bland...
Lots of tomato and cheese too, too much...and too much beans, so much beans, in the first bite, the corn tortilla fell apart. The beans tasted like they came from out of a can, very bland too.
I thought I'd just enjoy the beans and rice that comes on the side...nope, another yuck. I didn't even eat the other taco. I went to the nearest restaurant and scrapped it off my tongue.
Pros The water tasted great. The waiter was swift, but the tacos were so horrible, I did not feel comfortable tipping him because I had just wasted $15.14.
Things to consider: When someone has a negative experience with the food, the waiter should ask if they'd like to swap for something else (my answer would have been no but if you get beans and avocado taco wrong, i think there isn't much they could get right.
Or he could have asked the manager to charge me half...something.
Oh, also, this isn't a traditional mexican restaurant, they don't offer chips and guac as an appetizer at no cost. The cost is $7.
Deeply disappointed in my...
Read moreI stopped in here on my way to Florida expecting a little taste of home before I left the state and saw that this place had recently opened back up in November, under the new name of 2.0 Tequila and Taco Bar. The atmosphere was great and the service was perfect, staff was very friendly and helpful. I was seated quickly and after a bit of back and forth my order was fired off and quickly brought out to me. Presentation was very good for the plating and portions were just right for the steak street taco I had ordered. After one bite, I realized why my order had been delivered so quickly. The steak was bland, no seasoning at all except for the cilantro it was smothered in and a small sampling of onions. The steak was grilled and moist but bad no flavor except for the char from the grill. After one and a half tacos I could not finish the meal. The rice was equally bland in flavor and the beans, when added to the taco, made the dish edible since it was the only part of the meal that was palatable. Including the tip this meal cost me nearly thirty dollars, a twenty dollar taco I could have made at home myself with much more flavor and for a third if the cost. If you don't mind the price or the lack of flavor it is a very convenient eat on the way out of Dallas but I'd have gotten a better bang for my buck...
