Wish I could give 0 or 5 negative star, rather than giving one positive star for the purpose of the review. We went there twice, first time with a group of friends, they kept us waiting for nearly an hour and we left since no one came to seat us even though the restaurant was not very busy. Since they didn't care that we were waiting long, I asked them what's the reason for such long wait, the lady told their cook had too many orders to handle. As we were leaving few of our friend on the spot gave bad review to save future victims, yet I wasn't one of them. I thought lets give them a 2nd chance. So I went with my family only to have dinner and they pretty much repeat the same annoying situation as 1st time but in a different way. This time they seat us took order and then no further news from them. I waited about 40+ minutes then I went and started walking by the kitchen door to see their activity and it wasn't busy at all. I asked the waitress who took my order to check on the status, she came back telling one of our item was taking time to cook. After passing more than an hour since our entry at the restaurant we received the food finally, we thank to God! but ... there is more to it. As soon as we started eating we found the item they told was taking time to cook was very cold :-( it was supposed to be the hottest as per their excuse! We didn't dare to ask them to warm it up since we did not want to lose another hour, though we didn't get any taste, we just chewed and push down the throat since we already ordered it for purchase. If Owner is not dead already they should really look at all the circus that's happening at this particular location, this IHOP has become International House of Pain & Torture instead of Pan Cake . Read moreService was not good at all. Been here before got same sort of treatment. Cloe was the waitress.(if that is in fact her name ) She seemed like she really didn’t want to be there. Honestly. I think I had her as a waitress before and she was sub par then too. I had to ask for everything. Utensils after getting food. Sugar and milk for coffee after getting the coffee. A spoon to stir coffee after getting sugar and milk. Syrup for pancakes after getting utensils. Not once did she think ahead to provide anything. She kinda did this with every customer but mainly to me. I love to tip. I love to tip big with good service. I can’t say that this was really good service at all. The food was just ok. Since I had to wait for every single item needed with hardly any communication with the waitress unless I spoke up you don’t get a tip. Instead you get a poor review and hopefully you will get another job. One that is more suitable for your demeanor.
Seems like this place survives only because there is no other options available to people. Must be nice taking people’s money like that. Glad I waited to pay and tip. But don’t wait too long. The app say it will automatically charge a 20% tip if you don’t pay before the app times out in 40 minutes.

I’m normally not the type of customer that complains or sends emails to corporate because I myself have a career where all it takes is one email to tarnish a reputation, but after allowing the opportunity for your IHOP establishment at 1801 N. Beltline Rd in Irving, TX to attempt to redeem themselves, I was yet disappointed again. First off, after working a 10 1/2 hour shift and a 9 day straight work week, I came to your establishment at 8pm, ordered my food and it wasn’t until I realized it was 8:37pm and still had no food. Of course they didn’t hesitate to take my card for $23.98, all for my order to be incorrect. No whip cream or butter on either of my Belgian waffles. Only one glazed strawberry topping for 2 waffles and no serano pepper or salsa on my chicken fajita omelette. All of this and an additional 10 minutes of waiting with no literally an hour for an incorrect order and watching an employee in the kitchen coughing without covering her mouth near the food. I’m extremely upset and can’t grasp the concept of how your cooks cannot accurately execute a menu item which details the ingredients specifically laid out for them.
