Title: Stellar Service and Memorable Experience at the Flying Saucer Bar in DFW Airport
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Flying Saucer Bar at DFW Airport, and I must say, the highlight of our entire trip was the exceptional service provided by our server, Gretchen. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that immediately set the tone for a fantastic experience.
Gretchen's attentiveness throughout our visit was truly remarkable. She expertly balanced being friendly and engaging while also giving us the space to enjoy our meal and drinks at our own pace. Not once did we feel rushed, and she made sure to check on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. It's evident that she genuinely cares about her customers' satisfaction, and that made all the difference in our dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food and drinks. The nachos we ordered were absolutely delicious! They were served piping hot with a generous portion of toppings, making them the perfect indulgence for a hungry couple like us. As for the beer selection, the Flying Saucer Bar did not disappoint. With an extensive array of craft beers, we were spoilt for choice. Gretchen was well-versed in the offerings and helped us choose the perfect beer that complemented our nachos perfectly.
Beyond the delectable food and drinks, it was Gretchen's warmth and friendliness that truly made the experience memorable. She took the time to chat with us, sharing local recommendations and anecdotes that added an extra layer of personal touch to our visit. It felt like we were catching up with an old friend, and that made us feel right at home.
In a busy airport environment where time is of the essence, Gretchen managed to create a haven of relaxation and enjoyment. Her genuine care for her guests and her ability to make us feel special made the Flying Saucer Bar a definite standout in our travel journey.
In conclusion, I cannot praise Gretchen's service at the Flying Saucer Bar enough. Her attentive, warm, and friendly demeanor elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. If you find yourself at DFW Airport and are looking for a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy great food, and indulge in quality craft beers, do yourself a favor and seek out Gretchen and the Flying Saucer Bar. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a serious and entirely preventable injury I sustained at your establishment on February 22, 2025, between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM due to your staff’s blatant negligence.
During my visit, an employee had recently mopped an area of the floor but failed to follow proper safety protocols regarding wet floor signage. As a direct result, I suffered a severe fall, leading to multiple injuries. This incident is undoubtedly captured on your security footage, which will clearly show both the hazardous conditions and the staff member’s failure to place the necessary warning signs appropriately.
At the time of the incident, I was wearing a tan jacket, black pants, and tan shoes. In the immediate aftermath, I expressed frustration toward the employee responsible. While I regret raising my voice, my anger was entirely justified given the sheer disregard for customer safety displayed by your staff.
This level of negligence is unacceptable. I expect a full investigation into the matter, a prompt response from your management, and details on where my legal counsel should direct formal correspondence.
Failure to address this matter appropriately will leave me with no choice but to pursue all available legal avenues.
I await your...
Read moreThe facade and style of the establishment drew me in...this was about where the pleasantness ceased. The hostess wasn't exactly rude, but she sure wasn't polite. Figuring that she may just be having a bad day and tired of being ignored, I asked if I could take a seat at the bar. She let me walk over and asked for my help to clean where I wanted to sit.
The bartender was great. Very friendly, attentive, and able to make suggestions, he helped guide me to a choice from their large tap selection. He also took my order, vice having me use a QR code that led me to an inaccurate menu. He was the only employee that had any positives about him. Everyone else very closely mirrored the hostess.
I ordered the saucer burger 🍔 and a semi-hazy IPA called The Manhattan Project. The beer was great, and I'll recommend it to anyone who really enjoys a New England IPA. The burger I can't recommend. I paid $17.99 for a wafer-thin patty (which was obviously a frozen disc moments before it hit my tray), a slice of romaine, and some sauce. The fries that accompanied the burger were just about awful. They somehow seemed a combination of stale and over cooked.
Stop here for a brew. You'll pay more than normal, but it's expected from an airport bar. Avoid the food. It's overpriced and quite...
