Looking for something on the upper end for breakfast while you're on layover in the international terminal at Dallas-Fort Worth International airport? This is a great option! Not at all crowded. Barely anyone here but still great service and great food. Started out with the Sangria Mimosa at $12 each. Pretty good but no drink is worth $12. On to breakfast! Chicken & Churros, buttermilk marinated chicken breast, savory spicy churros, buffalo maple glaze, smoked onion ranch and dill pickle slices. Not bad! I knew it was going to be good when it was set in front of me and the spicy fumes from the chicken had my eyes watering before I ever took a bite!

Bar Louie fits the bill for your food quest in Terminal D at DFW. The food was better than expected. The artichoke dip had good flavor and came out bubbling hot. The wings were meaty, crispy, and the sauces enhanced the experience. The pepperoni flatbread had a robust sauce and the crust was nicely crisp. The service was excellent. For a small space, there are too many large tv’s mounted on every square inch of the walls. It is very distracting and hard not to look at the screens. But what the heck, for many if it’s not a 60-inch flatscreen, a 5-inch screen will capture your attention.

I spent $19 for one of my favorite sandwiches just for them to give it to me completely dried out and old. The chicken was so dry I could barely swallow. I was only able to get one bite and immediately knew it was old chicken. I asked no goddess sauce because I don’t like it and it has it on both sides of the sandwich. I would like a refund or a remake when I land hopefully I am able too. I planned to eat this on my 5 hour flight and I haven’t eaten all day so I’m beyond disappointed and have to starve until I land.

I understand that working at a restaurant is hard, and working at a restaurant in an airport is even harder given the traffic flow and spikes in customers at different times during the day.

Nonetheless, customer service is the hallmark of any successful business, and Bar Louie DFW fell well short of delivering and meeting our expectations today.

We alerted our waiter to the fact that our burger was not well made (burnt and cheese not melted); instead of offering a solution (i.e., remake the burger, offer another item on the menu, or even apologize), our waiter stated, with aggression, that we ate a percentage of the burger and therefore there was nothing he could do. We asked for the manager, who also reiterated that there was nothing he could do.

We did state that the fries were good (which is why we gave this review a 2 Star in the food category), to which the manager laughed.

Not a good way to get repeat business or a 5-star review.

And for waiters, I imagine that tips are an added bonus on top of the hourly pay they earn. If you meet your customer with compassion when they bring to your attention poorly prepared food (especially when you did not prepare it, but the chef in back prepared it), you should offer solutions to enhance their experience, which in turn would increase tip amount. The tip we left reflected how we felt about our...

What a joke of a restaurant! Sat for 30 minutes waiting on my food (thankfully I had a delayed flight) and finally asked the waitress who indicated “well we’ve kinda run out of lettuce”. Wish I would have known that 30 minutes ago so I could order something else! Upon ordering a pizza and asking for red pepper and a water (neither which I received and finally went to the bar to get a glass of water) I got my pizza. While eating my pizza I had to listen to what I assume was a general manager yelling at another employee at a small table next to me. Another 20 minutes of waiting for a check I had to hunt down my waitress to give it to me when she took my cc and ended up charging me for both the salad and the pizza! When I pointed out I never received the salad she brought it out of the kitchen in an to go container and said “here you go they went ahead and made it if you want it”. Seriously?! Needless to say she said she removed the price of the salad but I’m skeptical given her very sub-par ability to serve. Utter disappointment esp considering there are so many other options at DFW. Don’t waste your time at Bar Louie in the...

I don't eat at many Bar Louie's but I feel fairly confident that this one might be the worst. Zero quality control coming out of this kitchen. Ordered the BLAT chop salad and picked out tons of wilted lettuce. Fries had old yellow parsley on top. They were out of wings and queso. I ordered pretzels and tried to sub spinach artichoke dip for queso (since they were out). Was told that I couldn't bc it was pre-portioned. Asked for a discount since they were out of queso and they came back and said they were also out of mustard and would just cancel the order. The waitress was nice and did her best. The manager should have come out and helped apologize for the terrible food situation instead of leaving her to go on an apology tour. Table next to me sent cold food back. My husband's club had yellow wilted arugula and a very mushy tomato. He also got several diet Cokes instead of regular.

Pro: football game was on, close to our gate
