At the airport, I stumbled upon TGIFridays, seeking solace in a world of familiar flavors. Drunk on an Old Fashioned, I ordered a burger and fries, unaware of the profound impact this encounter would have.
The burger arrived, a humble creation nestled between two soft buns. Its simplicity spoke volumes, promising respite amidst the chaos of travel. As I took a bite, the robustness of the patty merged with the tang of fresh toppings, offering a momentary escape from the monotony of my journey. The Old Fashioned, with its intoxicating spell, infused each mouthful with a touch of divinity, turning the ordinary into an extraordinary feast.
Beside the burger lay a bed of golden fries, their crisp exteriors concealing a tender core. I savored their simplicity, the comforting warmth they imparted. The cocktail, dancing on my palate, whispered secrets to my taste buds, making the fries sing with an unassuming brilliance.
In this bustling airport eatery, the staff exuded an air of genuine hospitality, their warmth a balm to my travel-weary soul. They attended to my needs with a quiet efficiency, leaving me to revel in the magic of this gastronomic rendezvous.
As I reflect upon that fateful encounter, I realize that it was the Old Fashioned, potent and beguiling, that painted a portrait of culinary enchantment. Under its sway, the burger and fries transformed into vessels of transcendence, reminding me that even in the ordinary, there lies the potential for extraordinary moments.
In the realm of TGIFridays, where flavors intermingle with the weary traveler’s longing, the allure of an Old Fashioned imbued this simple meal with an indelible charm. It was a fleeting dalliance with gustatory delight, an interlude of pleasure in a world caught between departures...
Read moreI can’t figure out what went wrong here. I HATE TGI Fridays in the “real” world, but I enjoyed my food and service at this airport location. Maybe it was because it was an airport location and I had lower expectations.
The service: Very friendly bartenders, and the staff doesn’t stand around texting or Facebooking on their cell phones like I often see at airport restaurants.
Now, you have to watch yourself in these TGI Fridays folks. Take a look at the calorie count on the menu before ordering. Most items on the breakfast menu were between 800 and 1510 calories. Three breakfast tacos are $9.29 and tip the scales at a whopping 1510 calories! They sure sounded good, but no I didn’t get those. I went for the boring fruit bowl instead.
On my return trip, I discovered they have the “Beyond Meat” burger for $13.29. It comes with your choice of fries or a side salad. If you’ve never had this burger, you gotta try it. It’s so much like real beef.
Now here comes the important stuff, so get your notebooks out class:
Multiple location at the DFW airport – this one is located at gate 30 terminal C.
They have AWESOME power strips at the bar (yeah, my battery isn’t holding a charge lately).
And here’s the crème de la crème: this AIRPORT bar has 22-ounce draft beers for $6! What??? Those aren’t airport prices. That’s insane! I’ve never found an airport bar/restaurant I loved so much and I can’t believe it’s a TGI Fridays…
Five solid stars for an airport restaurant? Who...
Read moreEdited to reply The damage is done and your team offered nothing, and I do mean absolutely nothing to help us resolve the problem other than to drive back and pick up his wallet. We wasted our valuable time And money. Your team needs a educational class on customer service and hospitality. Again, the damage is done.
We stopped in very briefly for just a drink during our layover. When we got to our final destination my husband discovered he left his wallet on their counter. When we called they was absolutely no help to get us his wallet. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and I can't imagine making someone's stressful situation even more stressful. The manager my husband spoke to, actual told him they would destroy all his credit cards!! Why would you tell someone that in a all ready stressful situation. He was looking for a solution to get his wallet and All the contents back. The only solution offered was for us to drive back to get it, which turned in to a 15 hour total drive, when there could have been a easier solution. This establishment needs a valuable lesson in hospitality and customer service. When my husband met the GM to get his wallet at the airport, apparently she was nice, but that is a moot point, considering he told her the manager is not nice, she knows and this was our situation. Do better, much,...
