Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge — Restaurant in Grapevine

The one 🌟 star is for the fantastic service from the young lady that helped us and the qualityof what we bought!!! It would have been 5 stars if not for the very rude boy that was working the ice cream counter!!! Chocolate fudge and Cappuccino chocolate chip ice cream were fantastic!!!

Stopped in and bought some fudge and a single scoop ice cream 🍦 cone. 6/25/22 @ about 1 pm. Hubby was ordering the fudge flavor of his choice from this very sweet young lady, I had stepped close to the ice cream counter to see what flavors were available. The guy that was working with her gave me the nastiest look, said you need to go to the end of the line. First, the young lady there was helping us and I was going to be letting her know the flavor I had chosen, 2nd I was not in anyone's way or had "cut" in line, 3rd he could have chosen to do it with much better customer service. Oh I did get in line behind the lady I was standing behind on the wrong side. She was still trying to decide what flavor also 😁 and told the boy you can take care of her first. I told him no thank you, the young lady had already been helping us and I was just trying to decide on a flavor. If you don't like working in/with customer service there are other jobs where you don't have to deal with people. He wasn't just rude to me, he also upset the lady he stopped helping, just to be rude to me. There are several choices to get fudge and ice cream in the area. This was my last time to spend my money being treated like that!! When we are visiting, we always come and purchase fudge and ice cream 🍦 here. I'll give one of the other businesses...

I have a picture to share along with my review but I can’t upload with google. I am very disappointed considering I’ve been here maybe 6 times since they opened this spring I believe. My boyfriend and I always come in for scoops of ice cream and sit outside but this time I said I probably won’t be coming back. I ordered a single scoop dish and was so shocked by the size I instantly didn’t even want to pay for it. I’ve already noticed since we’ve started coming each and every time the scoops have consistently gotten smaller and smaller. Today ,this time you could see a decent portion of the bottom of the dish and the mound barely went to half way the dish in height. To be spending $5 for a scoop of ice cream that is so baby portioned and skimping made me say in store Id rather not come back. It’s a bad look to be so tight for the price you pay. When we first started going I thought it was fair for the quality and portion but for it to be getting smaller and smaller each visit is very odd. To top it off the man serving my ice cream checked me out without a word and didn’t say any thanks or have a good day, just walked off and we were the only ones in the store! It's for the tourists, like many standard friendly chocolate shops that sell gifts, ice cream, caramel apples ect.

For example, tasting many of their ice cream flavors they simply just didn't stand up to the gelato you can get at Napoli's down the street. It wasn't bad ice cream and im sure most people's children wouldn't care either way.

The fudge was also not bad, but once again it doesn't quite compare to the fudge you can get at the Moonshine company also just down the street. (Their panuche flavor is best)

To me it just simply wasn't all that great compared to what I could get elsewhere on main street
