Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza Grapevine — Restaurant in Grapevine

Excellent dinner and service. They do not take reservations, but with my party of 8 adults with 2 toddlers our wait time was only around 15 minutes on a busy Saturday night. Our server was knowledgeable of the entire menu and eager to make recommendations. The biggest thing that impressed me here was the freshness of the ingredients. The taste in quality is extremely apparent from the moment each bite hits your tongue. Everyone ordered something different. On one end of the table we had a a pepperoni calzone, three different versions of the Star specialty pizza, the Laura salad which had very green crisp romaine and fresh croutons. The antipasto dishes with the prosciutto and fresh creamy burrata was delicious. My wife and myself shared the Matteo 2.0 which has sausage, jalapeños, and shaved red onion, but the Vittoria pizza tasted the best to me: the fresh shaved parm, basil and the well seasoned roasted chicken was incredible. We finished off all sharing a Nutella pizza and the Nutella/banana calzone which were a hit and extremely sweet. Followed up by one of the best cups of cappuccino I’ve ever had. The food was so good I’d say probably 90 percent of everything we ordered got eaten. There wasn’t much left to take home. Pizza dough stands out with its fermentation process and it was flavorful , with a crispy crust while also delicate and airy and not “ heavy “ . Our server even brought out a plate with pizza dough for the 2 year old to play with while we waited for our food.

All in all I have absolutely zero complaints , and this establishment could be either utilized as a romantic date night destination , or a great gathering place for family and friends to all share a slice of whatever they order.

They say pizza is making a comeback, and this place is a testimony to that. Up front I'll say the pizza and experience is worth the wait. We were told the wait would be one hour and twenty minutes. We did end up waiting that long, however our party went across the street to Tap In bar and had drinks while we waited for the text that our table was ready (timing is everything). The menu is pretty much split into 13 inch "traditional" specialty pizzas and 13 inch "extraordinary" pizzas. Our party ordered several from each and decided we would all share. There are about six slices per pie, so that worked well for our party of six, but any size larger and some may end up missing out on the best tasting one. If you're a fan of ricotta and stuffed crust, the star pizzas are the way to go. The ingredients they use are top notch. We had some pies with things like basil, white truffle oil, burrata stracciatella (a dense type of cheese) and prosciutto. But they also had pizza with onions and jalapenos and the quality was all excellent. For dessert we tried the Nutella and banana calzone. It too was delicious. The waitress was very helpful with answers and suggestions. The management went around interfacing with the customers asking for feedback and ensuring everyone was happy with their food and experience. Our Server Sierra was extraordinary with her knowledge of the restaurant history, Pizza School offerings, and menu!!! What a Gem!! She answered all our questions and provided recommendations on the best options for the Burrata with white Truffle Oil that was out of this world and I highly recommend this one. Our pizza was a customized to our liking and came out exactly as ordered!! Great job Sierra. Food was awesome, service was FANTASTIC!!! James the manager was super nice as well and both Seirra and James followed up on our dinner experience throughout our dinner but not excessivey but just right making sure we were happy with it all!!! Oh goodness were we and we finished up with the Nutella Pizza for desert and WOW!! Thank you again for a great first night at Mister 01 and we will be back and highly recommend to our friends and family.
