This restaurant is located at DFW - Dallas Fort Worth International airport at the C terminal of the airport. This is actually one of the better sit-down restaurants located at the airport. Since this was my first time eating at the restaurant, I'm not sure if this is the genre of music that they normally play, but they were playing more of the 20s and 30s Era. Nevertheless, I liked the setting. The atmosphere was warm and very inviting. The service was very quick allowing you to sit down and get your meal and get your check and get your check so you can catch your plane so if you have 20 to 30 minutes to spare I would definitely recommend this restaurant. If you don't have that time, they do offer do offer a quick pick-up, which is a great way to get very tasty food on-the-go without breaking the bank. I ordered the lasagna; it's a classic dish, and I wanted to have something I liked and was something straightforward. They nailed the dish! If you can grab a booth, they have 110 power outlets with USB ports, so you can charge your laptop phones and other devices. I will definitely be...
Read moreTruly awful. Every other place to eat in terminal C was packed to capacity despite hard seats; Maggiano's was at about a tenth capacity despite nice leather booths. I found out the hard way that the food is why.
I ordered a veggie frittata; it was too salty to eat. The manager said there was no salt at all in the dish; I said "maybe it's the fontina cheese" so she offered to have the kitchen make me one without cheese. The remake had more cheese than the original, and was still too salty to eat. So she offered to make something else; I took a chicken parmesan sandwich. Same problem. At that point I gave up; took as many bites as I could stomach and left for my flight.
The manager was very accommodating and comped the meal except for the cocktail I ordered with the frittata, but that still left me half-fed and dealing with heartburn for the second half of a four hour flight.
(For reference, I have no problem enjoying a MacDonald's quarter pounder with cheese. If I tell you your food is too salty or...
Read moreInteresting experience. This restaurant has a limited menu compared to the regular restaurants and I have a milk allergy, so before accepting a table I asked the hostess if we could find out if the meatballs had cheese in them.
She informed us that she had worked at the restaurant for many years and was adamant that there wasn't any cheese or other milk products in or on the spaghetti and meatball meal.
When our waitress came over to take our order I explained that I have a milk allergy so we were going to split the spaghetti and meatball dinner and wanted to add a second meatball.
Our waitress immediately responded with "the meatballs have parmesan cheese in them"! Nice save on her part.
The food was good. I had the spaghetti with a side salmon filet. It's an airport restaurant so the atmosphere wasn't great and the guy at the table next to ours was speaking loudly on the phone for most...
