Great service, BUT: Ordered green curry chicken, veggies are prepped and cooked correctly , but the flavor a OFF BY A LOT. Too much curry paste , too much sugar, coconut milk tastes a bit off and not enough fish sauce or flavor and the sauces were not mixed enough before adding veggies and chicken . It was just pockets of unbalanced sweetness. Guy next to me was eating bahn mi and spring roll so, I asked him how his food was to see if it was just a one off & he said MEH. Bread was not fresh and spring rolls soggy. Bahn Shop needs measurements for consistency or training so the hardworking chef ups his game. I’ve never had worse “ Thai “ food as far as flavor. The cook was busy, and everything was cooked correctly, the broccoli and other veggies were perfectly cooked and the service is very helpful and friendly. But the flavor was AWFUL! So, it’s up to management to help the cook get things seasoned correctly. So help him with some education on proper seasoning .PLEASE! Thai is my fave and was VERY excited to get some while traveling. Spent $25 which I wouldn’t have a problem with if it was edible! But, it was super disappointing. And...

Bahn Service: We sat down shortly after they were open in the morning and our server was pleasant and friendly. She was always smiling and kept the drinks fresh for our party of 6. The kitchen did a good job of getting our dishes out to us timely. Very good service all around.
Bahn Cuisine: All the dishes I sampled were flavorful and fresh. I had the spicy noodle bowl with chicken and it was delish. The noodles were tasty and the spicy flavor was perfect where I was sweating but it didn't burn the mouth. The broth from the chicken curry soup was savory and the steak bahn mi was put together well with fresh bread and beef. The serving size was generous for all our dishes.
Banh Shop puts out restaurant quality Vietnamese dishes which is not something I experience often in airport restaurants. If I ever happen to be back at DFW with some time to spare I'm going to swing by Banh Shop for another noodle bowl. ...
Read moreOrdered the steak and egg banh mi for breakfast. Was told the wait would be 5 minutes, I come back 5 minutes later and see the steak hitting the flat top. Staff needs to improve their readiness for breakfast. Was offered a beverage as a complimentary for the wait which I appreciated. I believe the overall time to receive my sandwich was nearing 30 minutes.
To the actual sandwich, it was delicious. Well-marinated and seasoned flank I presume with lots of umami. Extremely tender, properly cut against the grain. Eggs were eggs. I prefer it over easy but I don't think there was a choice of the matter as they came over hard, but the honey aioli ties everything together nicely without being overly sweet. The bread was a nice airy baguette, toasted well with a crispy exterior and delicate interior that collapses when you go press down to go in for a bite. Typical
