This may have been the best meal I've had in this area. So good! Came here with a friend for dinner, based on word of mouth. Remember that term? I digress. There was a 20 minute wait, but hard to complain for a Saturday night. We were quickly attended to after being seated by our very friendly server, Bob W. Water and delicious warm bread came soon after. Lots of good choices on the menu, but I decided on the Chicken Parmesan and my friend got the Tri Tip Sandwich. My friend was very happy with her sandwich and had no complaints about it. My chicken parm was heavenly! I can't think of where I've had better, at least here in the states. It had a mountain of mozzarella cheese and a very savory sauce. Just writing about makes me want to go back very soon. It was served with garlic mashed potatoes and skewed grilled veggies. Both were really good! After our dinner, we made the mistake of looking at the dessert "tray". Yes, they bring a tray for you to see and be tempted, because words just aren't enough. Being the food hound i am, I ordered 2 desserts even though my friend really didn't want anything. But who can resist a good dessert? I was right, she had a few bites. We got the Tiramisu and this chocolate mousse thing. Both were extremely yummy! Sorry, didn't get any pics of those. I need to do better about getting dessert pics. I get too caught up in the moment. LOL! In closing, I can't recommend this place enough. Great food, great service and reasonably-priced.

We were recommended to dine in Cirino’s after our car club drive to Reno was halted by the snow storm. Cirino’s accommodated our party of 20 with no reservations, and created an amazing dining experience for all of us. Our waitress was correct when she told us everything on the menu was good. Even with our party size, food and drinks came out quickly and refills were ordered and served before us asking. Food was delicious! Love it when a restaurant serves warm bread, and the sourdough bread basket was an amazing start to a delicious meal. Lobster dip with pita chips was amazing and great to share. The dip was warm and creamy and melts in your mouth. I was torn between ordering clam chowder and French onion soup, and I don’t think you could go wrong with either one. Shrimp risotto was cooked to al dente, but I preferred mine to be more creamy than crunchy. Rib eye was served with mashed potatoes and on a bed of grilled vegetables. 7 layer chocolate cake was very rich and dense if that’s your preference.

We entered the restaurant mid day around 4pm to enjoy a couple of appetizers and cocktails. Andrea our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and menu selections. It was so refreshing to have a server who knows their products. Our party ordered a glass of wine 🍷, old fashion (which was too sweet and had multiple ice cubes vs one large ice cube or ball) and Tito's vodka. The appetizers we enjoyed were a bowl of clam chowder, very tasty, a plate of their calamari made in flat strips (my favorite), no tentacles, and the polenta with chili. The food and service by hit the spot for a mid day break.

Ate here 20 years ago, and the food is still bad. Thank you for keeping it real.

  1. menu: It was like reading the Magna Carta, it was 8 pages and that was the lunch menu. Every menu item had a history story of where it came from or a childhood memory of why it's on the menu. You know what I would like to know, what ingredients are in the dish....done!
  2. bloody mary: you use to serve it in a pint glass. I got mine in a wine goblet. Why? It's your signature drink and you are being cheap, nice. Especially with a $8.50 price tag.
  3. steak sandwich: cooked well, but was there a reason it was smaller then the bread. I thought I was in the old Wendy's commercial, Where's the beef?
  4. potato salad: I hate it when I get a side and it's put on my plate in a smaller plate. Have the price of potatoes gone up? It's not sour cream, don't give me a dollop!
  5. service: slow and inattentive.
  6. menu prices are very pricey for the food you get.

Thank you, will not go back.

edit: changed the price of the Bloody Mary and some spelling. Thank you for responding owner, too bad you didn't want to leave any insight on anything else that I listed as an issue at...

I had the good fortune of finding Cirino's at Main Street when in Grass Valley for a wedding. Every meal that wasn't already planned with the wedding was there. I couldn't get enough.

Everything my wife, all of the friends that joined us, and a I had was brilliantly inspired and perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding and you could tell that every single employee had great pride and passion for the place.

I live on the other side of the country, but I know I will be back as often as possible, and I was able to get a little piece home with me. Their Bloody Mary mix.

Even if you aren't a big fan of Bloody Marys, you will find theirs to be amazing and the best you ever tasted. Every single person I was with that had one (which was almost everyone) concurred it was the best they'd ever had. I ordered a bottle on Amazon and not only did it come super quick, but they included a hand written thank you note and a few pages with tips for other uses. It was well written with easy to follow directions.

I can't praise this place enough. It is ten stars in my book.

Fun tip. Read the menu. The entree...
