This new bakery is right around the corner from my office. I popped in just before New Year’s to check it out. I bought a jalapeño cheddar sourdough round and cinnamon rolls. Everything was great! My husband said the cinnamon rolls were the best he’s ever had. I LOVED the sourdough! I sliced it and made grilled cheese & pear sandwiches with it. SO GOOD! Today I wanted another round and some coffee. I’m not usually a breakfast person but bought the breakfast galette in addition to the sourdough round and cappuccino. Oh.My.Word!!! The galette was AMAZING. It had egg, potato, and bacon in the middle and had hot pepper flakes and a very light hint of sugar on the rim. Read moreWow! I stopped in this morning to check out this new bakery, left with a Scone, Cinnamon Roll and a Latte! I Started with the Cinnamon Scone that had just the right amount of moisture left in it, usually I find scones to be I little too dry for my liking, but Lyons Fare has managed to find the right consistency. The Cinnamon Roll was the perfect size, and had a great balance of cinnamon and sweetness. I loved the Latte that was made for me! Great coffee! The best part was that I didn’t have to wait FOREVER at Starbucks and I got WAY better coffee and fresh baked goods!

The espresso was nothing special, but the overall drink was well executed. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed having coffee outside. While I was hanging out, they walked out and gave me a recipe they were testing called a blue berry pie cookie. It was a species of cookie with blue berry pie filling on top. It was truly excellent.
