Mayas Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Grass Valley

I'll keep it short or @ least try. Took my wife to dinner for her birthday, service was horrible, didn't bring water when asked, didn't set eating utensils out before bringing half of food order, my food was cold when placed on table, when I said something about it the server picked up my plate & took it to the kitchen where they put the entire plate in the microwave, then tried to serve me the same plate of food after they put it in a microwave, I didn't go out for microwave food, took forever to get drinks, took 15min to take our order & only 2 other tables were occupied, server brought 1 glass of water, brought fajitas out w/o tortillas or eating utensils, took another 15mi waiting for the check & I didn't get to eat because they had attitude about me not wanting food that was blasted in a microwave.Worse service I've had in a very long time & I definitely don't recommend them nor will I ever go there again, you'd be better off going to a gas station for food. Empty restaurant & they still can't get it right & there is no reason for food getting cold unless it sat in the window because the kitchen staff doesn't know how to plate more than a single...

We came to this resturant because the photos of the food actually looked pretty appetizing but it wasn't even close to being good at all. First off we ordered and wanted to have a margarita, and they were out of Tequila. How can you be out of Tequila as a resturant? We got our food at our table and the food didnt look good at all. You could tell the shrimp and vegetables were frozen because of all the water on the plate, didnt taste fresh, the shrimp taste pretty fishy. They didnt offer black beans, the plates came with refried beans and they were watery as well. For the 2 of us plus a kid, 2 plates and a kids meal, was $57, and that was only with 2 beers. None of us finished our meals, we left half our plates with food cause it was gross and DID NOT look appetizing. NOT worth the money. Mayas has hit a new low bar for worst margarita. "Balance" wasn't on the menu. The goblet-sized glass was filled with sour mix so intense and odd tasting that we weren't sure it safe to drink. What made this more frustrating was that we ordered the drinks and after 20 minutes they hadn't arrived. No service staff had stopped by since they were ordered so I went searching (the restaurant wasn't full). I arrived at the bar and politely asked two bartenders deep in conversation if there were some margaritas that were on order. One of them went, "Oh!" and pulled our two drinks out from down by the service well where glassware is cleaned.
