Naji's Mediterranean Cuisine & Catering — Restaurant in Great Barrington

We came in at 5pm (early dinner for us) and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very attentive and waited a good amount of time to ask us for our drink and meal orders.

The pita bread was by far the best pita bread we have ever eaten. The pita was served with very flavorful olives (they have pits so be careful on that first bite).

She had the mazza combo, which for her consisted of falafel, tzatziki sauce, and loubieh. She liked each item and described the falafel as “...soft and light”, not tasting deep fried like city cart falafel.

I had the porterhouse steak as I was interested in how they would season it. I asked for medium rare and the steak was more on the rare side (but this isn’t a steakhouse so I won’t count this against them). The seasoning was very similar to how a lamb kabob is made. The rice and salad were also seasoned nicely.

Overall, the food was very well done and it was definitely one of the better Lebanese...

My mother-in-law is Syrian, she taught me, Lebanese cooking.. Naji leaves ALOT to be desire. I only tasted their so called faffel, and I'm too experienced to try anything else. I stop here! They put tabouli over my faffel wrap. GROSS! It had No lettuce or tomatos. The faffel texture is mushy, I make them golden crisp. There was a mushy mess inside my pita wrap.The Tahiti sauce too watered down couldn't taste the sesame in it, nor garlic, no good olive oil, no olive oil period or lemon...the beef kabob, which they kept yelling it was fillet mignon absolutely NOT. Its chuck meat boiled to tender season then grilled! My daughter and I stopped in here on our way out of Great Barrington. We had several fabulous meals while staying in town--Great Barrington has some great cuisine. I am always a bit hesitant to eat Middle Eastern because I am Middle Eastern and a lot of places just don't cut it. Naji's is the real deal. Authentic, delicious, and fresh. When the owner found out I was Lebanese we got an even larger sampling. The service was warm and friendly, the portions generous, and the taste--is about as good as it gets.
