Hempl's Bakery — Restaurant in Great Falls

The pastries are awesome, the apricot pecan pastry is so delicious. But the cashier was so rude to us and the other lady was like grouchy. Then we stood in line before anyone else, but was waiting for ordered pies for Thanksgiving and wanted to get donuts too so we seen 1 maple and 4 chocolate so we was gonna get those for our kids, and then the cashier asked some one else outta the line what they needed and then gave what we wanted away before even asking if we wanted anything from there. HORRIBLE a customer service!!! My Aunt and Uncle were flying in for a surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary party out in Augusta and we’re picking up TWO cakes from Hemple’s. Their flight was delayed. They called Hemple’s and said they were in the way but wouldn’t make it until 5:10p.m. Because of the flight delay. They asked if someone could PLEASE stay after they closed at 5 p.m. so they could pick up the cakes for the party that night. They were told NO!!! What...NO, someone couldn’t wait 10 minutes so a less than average, poorly decorated pre-ordered cakes for a party that evening couldn’t be picked up! WOW!!!! NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! Great Falls has to do better keeping up with demand. Please realize your city is growing and we want to be here but due to the lack of accommodations we cannot stay long. Maybe that’s the point though? Who knows? We shouldn’t have to wake up early and wait in long lines just to enjoy doughnuts. Running out is not an option. It is becoming noticeable and investors from bigger cities are seeing the downfalls and waiting for the right time to come in and take over.
