I gotta say I was very disappointed. First time going there. We went on a day where the weather wasn't the greatest however it wasnt a thunderstorm either. It was a bit windy off and on and barely rained for maybe 10 min at most. But being in the water it was nice and warm (where the slides go into)... Other than that, the Splash Zone no one was in there cause it was sooo cold. And the Lazy River was a bit chilly as well. Anywho, we got there at 2pm and its suppose to close at 6pm. So we thought we had lots of time.... no... after maybe 40 mins of being there we were getting kicked out because of bad weather..... like I said before, it wasnt bad at all. I'm thinking it was more because the life guards were complaining about it and decided to close. The lifeguards were all teenagers and i did not see an adult so it was a childish call. We asked for a refund but they dont give out refunds only passes to which they MAIL to you.. FIRST OF ALL , were canadian and they want to spend the time and money just to mail a pass?? why cant they give you a simple piece of paper saying we can come back another day? SECONDLY, are they not closing for the season (we went Sunday the 25th)?! And LASTLY, for 2 adults, a 3year and a 6year old we paid $44 usd to go..... soo that being said.....it was a waste of money and time to go!
And ps: they kicked out a girl with a service dog.... how disrespectful. Especially after she notified them she was coming with her dog and them saying it's fine!!! Crazy. Definitely lost a...
Read moreRead the reviews prior to visiting, I was quite skeptical after reading the reviews but kept an open mind. I think the biggest issue is that the lifeguards are all young teens who are expected [for minimum wage I assume] to essentially babysit their peers and friends. Not once in the 3 hours of being there did I ever see an adult or 'official' city employee. The majority of the kids and teens who were there without an adult, appear to do whatever they wanted, yet younger kids with parents were constantly getting the whistle blown at them. My daughter even said to a lifeguard at one point, is that boy allowed to do that? And the lifeguard said 'no, but they don't listen'. I even witness teen boys destroy the anti slip flooring and start throwing it around, and were never asked to stop. I think the down fall of this place falls on the shoulders of the city and whoever is to be supervising the lifeguard.
With that being said, if you are a parent who activity engages with your child and supervises them at places like this, then go and enjoy. The facility itself is enjoyable and great...
Read moreYesterday I brought my son to the electric city waterpark for his birthday we come every year and we travel 2.5 hours to come there we enjoy it every year. Yesterday when we went up to the concessions to get a candy for his birthday I was very shocked about how rude the teenagers working were making fun of my 9 year old son for his size and how “big” he is. We probably won’t be coming back this summer now he wouldn’t even eat his birthday treat or anything the rest of the day due to the staff thinking it was okay to say stuff and bully my child over his size. I do have to say though I think his name is Owen one of your lifeguards that kid is pretty great he was so good with all the kids and definitely lightened the day and made my son feel special being there on his birthday so for that I will definitely be grateful. He is a great addition to your team and very welcoming and...
