Wanting something different, we tried giving Cancun Mexican Grill a try. Something new for the whole family 4 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere is great....AND that's pretty much the only reason to deserve one star. Food is overpriced, drinks are cheaply mixed, definitely not the place to spend money to drink. We were sat very quickly, the place was hardly even filled, only 3 other tables being serviced. Drinks ordered, waitress was really quiet and tried talking to us in Spanish multiple times even after responding in English. We speak spanish, however there were some with us that didnt. We waited quite some time for someone to come back and finally take our order. We ordered and waited.....waited...literally watched other tables that sat down after us get served. The most annoying part of this waiting experience is the manager came to talk to the table right next to us that say down 20 min after us to greet them and laugh with them, and you know what? They ended up getting served before us! All 5 of them. They finally brought 2 of our plates out then one, and left my son crying hungry....with the exception of mine, his came out last. It was a simple bean burrito. I watched everyone ear, even one at our table finish their food...and still I didn't have my food. You might be wondering why I didn't ask a waiter/waitress?? No where to be found. Finally we spotted one at another table and had to flag from across the area. The kid gave a half response saying it was coming. I waited a few minutes more for my Molcajete to come out only for it to be cold, not warm, cheese not melted. I asked to speak to the manager, the same guy that was out earlier.....he gave excuse after excuse of how they were backed up and normally they bring kids meals out first. Then he questioned if my food was cold and I literally had to show him and do a demonstration and point out the cheese to prove my point. Having Molcajetes in Denver and Mexico this was by far the worst attempt . Food and service is terrible. Food is not even authentic...if you want authentic and more for your money, there are several other places in Greeley to try....
Read moreI’d won a contest via fb to go have a meal at this restaurant and I had actually never heard of it prior to entering but the food looked really good! I was so excited to try it for the first time and a BIT apprehensive because trying new things can go one way or the other..
However I was completely 💯 satisfied with the entire experience! Not only were the staff super kind and attentive the food was absolutely delicious. The variety they offer is vast so there is something for everyone! My husband and I both tried two different versions of Birria & for dessert Churros & Tres Leches ! It was so delightful, the portion sizes were perfect & even made for take home leftovers!
I personally suffer from agoraphobia so going into places is very hard for me, but this experience wasn’t too bad on that front as everyone who was there was respectful of other patrons and kept appropriate volumes, there wasn’t any loud music making it hard to hear and cause any sensory issues and it was over all a pleasant experience for me on that front. I very much appreciated this , it’s hard to find places I can go that are accommodating to some of these issues so it was pretty amazing.
Thank you for this experience. It was such a lovely...
Read moreThe first time my family and I went there was great! Food was delicious and drinks were too!! We absolutely loved it! So we went a 2nd time, this second time our food was terrible. I ordered the Tacos al carbon, which I had ordered the 1st time we went, and this time they tasted completely different, they did not taste fresh! The plate they served them in was so hot, too hot!!
And it seemed and tasted like they just heated up the old tacos from a week or so before, and the rice and beans!
The meat was so hard to chew as well! It all just tasted terrible. My kids ordered the nuggets and fries and same thing, they tasted old! We left disappointed.
But we still went there a 3rd time for a bday dinner and same thing..we thought maybe this time since it was a weekend they might not re heat left overs since most ppl go out to eat on the weekends...so There was a total of 7 adults and 3 kids that attended and out of all the meals ordered, molcajetes, tacos, nuggets,...the only 1 meal that was decent was the tortilla soup. Our bill that night was over $300. And so it was money that we pretty much threw away. Soooo we will not...
