A must try for adventure seekers! The whole operation is a well oiled machine with a singular purpose of maintaining one theme throughout your visit. The staff's commitment to the character they play of the rude and distracted teen who doesn't care that you're there is only surpassed by their level of innovation and creativity they put into improvising what goes into each order.
Of course they start your adventure with letting you think there is no one in the drive-thru line so your visit will be quick, but once you get to the sign, and start playing the cat and mouse game of over-enunciating your order multiple times to someone who is annoyed and talking to someone else at simultaneously, the twenty minutes you have to wait seems totally understandable. Of 20 visits placing the exact same order, they've never once given me the same thing. Amazing! And only 3 of the 20 were even close to what I requested! Many times they have went above and beyond by not even having large cups or salads or napkins or whatever other basic supply even available! They may be called Jack in the box, but their staff are certaintly thinking outside of it. Kudos.
Once to the window, it's amazing to see the team really go all-in on the theme they've created. They'll allow your anticipation to build plenty before acknowledging you even exist, but in a genius move they also leave the window open to permit you to see the arguing, shouting, confusion and indifference shine. It's like getting to watch Hamlet where everyone is lost, but you're lucky enough to be the only audience member! Of course they eventually have to go through the drudgery of charging you (but you can tell by the lack of eye contact or greeting that they hate having to take your money), so they'll bark a total at you with an open palm in between shouting to the back and intermittently just wandering off.
After pulling away with your surprise package and half your lunch break gone, you realize how much of an impact their team just had on you and your day. Regardless of the day you were having 20+ mins ago when you arrived, you feel decidedly different when leaving. I know this place has only been open a year or so, but they have successfully managed to get all the indifference, cynicism, and disappointment into each visit as if they had been practicing for years prior! There are occasions now where I will choose not to eat at lunch at all just because I don't think I can handle the excitement and elevated blood pressure their performance delivers each and every time.
Bravo, team and...
Read moreThis rating is based on their breakfast as this is why we visited this location.
My partner and I ordered 2 of the #23 (bacon and sausage burrito) for our 13th Anniversary. The burritos are delicious but unfortunately it has become mistaken for the #24 (meatlovers) more and more often. I called after arriving home to see if we could get this resolved and the person on the other hand wasn’t professional or attentive. I didn’t even get a name when she first answered the phone. She sounded annoyed and frustrated. I get these jobs can become frustrating but it’s not appropriate to take it out on the customers. I was polite about the whole thing, mind you.
We’ve never had problems with lunch orders just breakfast. We stopped by so often for breakfast. It seems like we will no longer be stopping by this location for breakfast. It has become too much of a hassle. We’ll just have to wait until we go out of town.
My partner went back to the site to get the order fixed. He had to repeat himself four times and did so patiently. The cashier went back and announced he was wanting burrito number 24. Again, he had pointed out 4 times that he was wanting order 23. He had to correct her a fifth time. Cooks did not look pleased with my partner although he was respectful of the whole situation. We understand the pressure this staff can be under, but that’s still no means for treating your customers in that way. We don’t feel comfortable eating the burritos, so they’ll probably be tossed. Not to mention that they didn’t include the sausage in the sausage and bacon burritos.
This experience ruined our appetites along with our morning. We recommend going somewhere else for breakfast. There are plenty of other options around this site and a few restaurants down east of the road that have delicious breakfast burritos.
The only person that made my partner feel understood at that place was the Doordash guy. Thank...
Read moreAlways loved Jack in the Box food. And would have given 5 stars for food. But after missing stuff in our order...the next day we went back for a remake. I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged my existance as they were goofing off in back. Finally someone addressed me and started making our food. Had I had my phone with me, I would have recorded what this employee was doing. This is where the one star comes in because I am grossed out at what she was doing. She was picking food out of the fry basket and snacking on it....WITH HER GLOVED HAND!! I watched her like a hawk and "luckily" she handled my food with her ungloved hand. Obviously Im being sarcastic with the "luckily" comment. Who knows what she has done with her ungloved hand if she is brazen enough to eat food with her gloved hand IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER. I should have just asked for a refund and walked out to never return...but the fact that the guy I spoke to made it clear he was certain he had given us the right amount of food the day before. Carrying a single small bag and folded up out to our car that supposed to hold 4 tacos and 4 croissant sandwhiches would be impossible. 4 boxes alone filled a large bag to the top...open (when I came back the next day). So it probably would have been an issue to just get my money back. Check your cameras for July 6th around between 4pm to 7pm. I dont remember the time...but Im certain you'll find her snacking throughout her shift. Sorry Jack in the Box...but I will never be able to trust that Miss Munchie wont be snacking while prepping our food in the future. She also needs to watch how she speaks to her coworkers (joking or not) because todays society might take offense to her...
