This was our second time visiting this restaurant. Despite hearing they had previously failed a food inspection, we decided to give them another chance — we were genuinely excited to try the other half of their menu this time around. Unfortunately, the experience left us disappointed again, and not because of the food, but the way the situation was handled.
We called ahead to ask if we could do both the hot pot noodles and BBQ, since our party of 4 was split — two wanted noodles, two wanted BBQ. We were told it was only possible for parties of 5 or more. A little frustrating, but we understood.
Still, we thought maybe they could work with us, especially since we were celebrating our cousin’s graduation. My fiancé called back to ask again, and the host said it was possible, and would ultimately be up to the waiter or waitress.
When we arrived, the host repeated that if we talked to our server — and even joked about “sweet talking them” — they might be able to make it happen. We asked politely, but the waiter immediately said no. We explained the occasion and asked if they could make an exception, and he said he’d check with the host — which was odd, since the host had said it was his call.
He eventually came back and said there weren’t enough tables available to accommodate both options. We let it go… until we noticed multiple open tables throughout our visit that could’ve worked. One in particular had only four people and a baby — it’s hard to believe the baby counted as the fifth diner.
It became clear that they just didn’t want to accommodate us. That was frustrating, especially since we had made an effort to come back and try something new after hearing not-so-great things in the past. We weren’t rude or demanding — just a small group trying to celebrate and enjoy both parts of the menu.
The lack of consistency, unwillingness to work with us, and confusing communication really soured the whole experience. The food itself may be decent, but the service left a bad taste in our mouths. For that reason, this visit was a...
Read moreThis was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. It is just the most mediocre version of every item you order. Please just drive to Denver/Aurora for hotpot - it is worth the extra drive time.
There are only all you can eat options here- no a la carte. Nowhere on the menu did they disclose the portion sizes for one order of anything and when the meat arrived, it was an overwhelming amount—far more than we needed. To make things worse, they charge you for any leftovers, which feels like a trap and you sort of feel like you’re being watched the entire time you eat. We ate everything as to not be charged, but it was flavorless for the most part and eating it was a chore.
As I mentioned, we did hotpot. We were not given bowls for our broth and all the other additions like noodles they offer at the bar. We had to ask for bowls and then struggle to find utensils with which to put the many condiments in the broth. We ended up having to use forks because there were not spoons anywhere, which as you can imagine was messy and more complicated than it had to be. The staff offered no direction even though we called them over to help and were visibly confused as to where to find things.
Do not order the appetizers. They all are clearly made from frozen and none of them had flavor. The edamame tasted so sour and weird.
The options on the bar were limited and underwhelming. The kimchi and radish was among the worst I’ve ever had and I don’t even know how you mess that up.
Service was okay. But as I mentioned, no one explained the menu or anything about the place even though we said we’d never been there before. I’ve had MUCH better hotpot elsewhere. Just go somewhere else.
EDIT: The response from the owner is really unhinged on top of everything else. Fraud? No one is accusing you of fraud. Chill. No remarks from your team on the bad service or bad food quality,...
Read moreJuly 2025 update- by far super impressed. They took suggestions, the place is way better than our first go. The meat was delicious. They moved to a veggie bar vs app bar - added sauce bar, added forks and spoons. There is alcohol too now.they had good serving utilities, friendly staff, and the spicy broth was 😋😋 a must for sure. Everything was very fresh, presented Beautifully and worth every penny. Good coupons too on Valpak .
I would rank this now as top 5 Hot pot places I have been! Great job and we will be back for sure!
Opening weekend review: just to show how far they have come:
I have been waiting for the hot pot. But it was disappointing. I am hoping it’s because it was opening weekend. They have an app bar that was fruits and fried food, and sea food. The hot pot ordering was on a paper that you fill out. The idea that everyone shares a burner was interesting but it worked. The meat was not The best . The brisket was the best. But they didn’t have thin sliced meats so some of the meat was just too thick. No thin chicken which would be a problem for Some people. The chicken was fried and then you heat it up. The food took forever showing they were not ready to open or ready for how busy they are. We only got the first round because it was at least a 30 minute wait for food. They didn’t have a sauce bar so you have to ask and there was no explaining what the sauces were. No forks available which doesn’t work for people who can’t use chopsticks. They didn’t have napkins just cocktail napkins. The bar hasn’t opened yet but it will have great options in the future.
The staff was super nice but it was obvious they just were not ready for the busy. I will try again in a couple of weeks but it was a rough opening weekend. I want to love this place so hopefully they learn from this weekend...
