Gipper's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Green Bay

Terrible Food! Terrible Waitress! There are not many choices on the east side of Green Bay, Gipper's being one of them. We have not had good luck with food or service in the past so took a break from going to Gipper's for about a year. Finally talked my 16 yr old son into giving Gipper's a try. WHAT A MISTAKE! We ordered potatoe skins and 2 ceasar salads and it took over 45 minutes to receive our order, we were one of 4 tables in the place. When we did receive our food the chicken on my son's salad was RAW and potato skins were so over cooked they were porous rocks. Waitress took raw chicken ceasar salad back to kitchen. Returned with a message from the "cook" that it was a blood line in the chicken and he would make me another one. Folks... that was no blood line. The top 1 inch of the breast was RAW. When the waitress brought back the salad with the same chicken that had been recooked!!!!!!!! I thanked her for her service. Told her I completely understand it was not her fault. She informed me next time I better just keep my mouth shut instead of yelling at the waitress because it really is not her fault! Nice. The owner took the salad off my bill. thanks for that. did not even touch the second one that was served. all in all really bad experience. I used to come to Gippers once a week for lunch with either my daughter or friend. We stopped coming back in June due to the sudden poor customer service over the last few visits. We had always sat at the bar area and would be served by “Brandy”. This past week, my friend and I decided to give it another chance and stopped in for lunch & a cocktail. I had ordered a simple grilled chicken sandwich ONLY. $9.50, plus $1.00 for a slice of tomato and lettuce. A cup of soup (which was great). When the chicken sandwich arrived, I was extremely disappointed!!! The piece of chicken that was slapped on the bun was barely to be found. When I finally bit into the sandwich, the chicken was like LEATHER!! I attempted another bite, then tried using a knife. I finally gave up. When “Brandy” finally asked (from far across the bar area ) how everything was, I had to tell her from far across the bar (as she would not walk over) that the chicken was like leather! After an “eye roll”, she comes over to us & asks if I want a different sandwich. I replied no as it was already 20 minutes into our meal and we were ready to leave. When she brings the bill, the ridiculous $10.50 sandwich (only) is still on the bill!!! I make a comment about her charging me for a small leather piece of chicken, and again I get the “eye roll”, as she walks away and refigures the bill. When she brings back the new bell she explains that she’s ONLY charging me “HALF PRICE”! Complete joke! I then tell her that if she’s going to charge me a ridiculous half price for a piece of leather, she might as well put it in a to go container for my dog who will hopefully eat it! She gets a container and literally dumped my entire plate, INCLUDING the garbage on my plate into the container! Worst customer...

Stopped at Gipper's for Mothers day, once again the same bartender we had the last time ignored us we had to ask for a menu, he was to busy eating his cheese cake in front of everyone instead of doing his job.He is worthless the last time we waited for everything. Our waitress was excellent. The food was terrible . The worst hamburger i've ever had no taste over salted. I also had the nacho platter it was terrible hardly any ground beef imitation cheese just food that is not worth your time or money. I will never go back there and mostly because of the lazy terrible bartender. I had to ask him to wipe the grease off the bar when we first sat down. the bar was never cleaned and had grease for a good five foot section of the bar and my girlfriend and i do not like getting our good clothes ruined by a lazy bartender or my girlfriends 400.00 purse full of grease.Too many better places to go then this.Get rid of your bartender and kitchen help when we walked out and seen 2 cooks smoking by side door that was enough" I don't want some stinky smokey cook...
