Carrabba's Italian Grill — Restaurant in Green Brook Township

I walked in,seemed fine,I got asked how many,it was just me...so table for one. I asked for a sprite and the linguine pescatore, it came with a sausage lentil soup,waiter asked if that was it I told him yes but then I remembered I needed my salad for the next day when he came back I asked if he could get me a Ceasar salad, he said okay and left but I forgot to mention the type of Ceasar salad since there was 2 options, chicken which was $15 and shrimp which was like $20 a different waiter was walking by and since I didn't want the shrimp on my salad I told the different waiter if he could let my regular waiter know that I wanted chicken on my salad I just didn't want there to be any mix up or create problems for the waiter, that waiter seemed very helpful and said he would do that for me,my regular waiter comes back and it just didn't seem like he came back like when he first greeted me,he seemed a little annoyed saying that I ordered a Ceasar salad and I agreed with him but he still seemed a bit annoyed while I was trying to explain to him that yes I did order that but that I forgot to let him know the type of Ceasar salad,chicken or shrimp but somehow we managed to get that cleared up,I got my correct salad I didn't taste it yet, ate the linguine pescatore,the muscles were a little dry the rest of that plate was ok. I felt a bit grossed out too when I saw my waiter licking his fingers to pick up some papers by the bar then after licking his fingers to pick up those papers going straight to get my linguine pescatore,just didn't seem right since we are still going through with this pandemic at the moment I didn't even see any hand sanitizer anywhere around or know if he used some before he touched my food. I'm not saying don't come here just make sure your waiters understand you and keep themselves clean so you can stay clean and healthy while...

Welp, if you want great food & great service this location will satisfy those needs and more! I have been a customer for several years & every time the experience is pleasant and satisfying!! The drinks are on point, the staff is very accommodating. On Sunday 11/22/20 I visited for the 1st time since the world shut down. After a rough start to my weekend, I was in the mood for a drink and some good ole comfort Italian comfort food with the girls and in recent weeks my friend told me about a Pear Margarita that she had there and she raved about how good it was so she suggested we go get us one! We arrived and were surprised to see a full staff waiting to greet and assist us! We were seated and given menus. I didn't really need on as I had already known what I was there for!! LOL The foodie I am.. I LOVE THEIR SAUSAGE LENTIL SOUP!!! It's SUPER AMAZING!!! I literally buy it by the tubs!! LOL They had removed it from the menu during the Summer months but it's SOUP SEASON NOW and its baaaaacccck!! It's a hearty full body soup that is very well seasoned and just takes like heaven on 1st sip!!!

The Manager Peter and our server Dematrius made sure our entire Carrabba's experience was what we remembered PRE RONA. We ordered 3 Pear Margaritas and they were soooo yummy that we had to order another round!! They were out of this world type tasty!! LOL I ordered my normal Chicken Alfredo but got super full off bread & soup. My Chicken Alfredo was cooked to perfection, as well as my friend who ordered the same. Their sauteed garlic spinach... bomb!

We also order Calamari & Shrimp Scampi!! We loved it and it felt good to be out in a normal safe setting as they are practicing social distancing protocols. Thank you Carrabbas, after the weekend I had I needed that!!!...

Normally service is wonderful... However, my last visit - not so much.

I made a Call-in order for Pickup 20 to 30 minutes before leaving home (it takes about that much time to drive there. My curbside order which was simple... (2 slices of cheesecake and a Rocco salad w/shrimp and scallops).

Their problem with this type of service is coordinating arrival and distribution to waiting customer - Directly outside there "Pick-Up Door" Ex. No instruction related to customers arrival (their texted status reads: Your order is almost ready... Stay in your car we will see you soon).

After waiting 20 minutes after arrival, i called to find out if there was a problem. After explaining my situation to the gentleman answering my call, he said he would look into the matter. After waiting another 10 minutes... I exited my car, went into the Pick Up area seeing a single bag sitting on the bench; no one was around as i entered but an employee popped in from around a corner.

Im Simply noting... Why would it take an hour for me to collect/receive 2 SLICES OF CHEESE CAKE, AND A SALAD💭

It's good thing for this location to have really good food, otherwise i would not go back there.
