King's Deli 1 — Restaurant in Green Brook Township

Been several times (love the roast beef sandwich) but something was off today. I was the only customer, it took what felt like 10/15 minutes for my sandwich and it was still cold, used to get mac salad with my sandwich but it was a bag of chips today. Sandwich wasn't as good as it used to be. The place felt emptier than it used to be. Gave vibes of a spot possibly closing which is sad because the sandwich was so good I pre ordered it like 3 days in a row a few months ago and the staff asked if I ordered the day before (it was that good). Today it felt like a shell of that experience.

Update: Apparently it was renamed like 2 weeks after this. Not sure if that means new owners or new business. Not sure if menu is the same.

Food was great. I went with a chicken parm to keep it safe since I have not been here since the new management change. Chicken parm was packed and it had alot of tomato sauce on it which I love.

Alot of places skimp out on the sauce for some reason or the sauce just doesnt have flavor. That is not the case here.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars for service is because I put in a order online for pick up through door dash. Yet I was told that they had door dash turned off so they would not receive orders. I thought I made a mistake, but when I got back home and checked, my order was still open on my computer. I dont know if this was a mistake by doordash or what happened.

Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience and it wont stop me from...

I used to go to the old place and now it is under new management. I am a vegetarian so I ordered the cheese sandwich with LTO with little oil and vinegar salt and pepper. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and did different cheeses for me. The sandwich was awesome. Will come again. The owner and her mom were very customer centric. Kudos to Luca. Great place.
