Love Gionino’s food-horrendous location. If I could give them 0 stars, I would!! A newer employee took my order and tried to charge me $50 for a dozen wings. I confirmed the price several times and this 16 year old kid, from the sound of it, insisted he was correct. $50... for 12 wings. I asked to speak to a manager who interrupted me twice when I tried to explain what happened and had quite the high and mighty attitude for a manager at a pizza joint. He told me “He’s new here give him a break, Lady.” I was absolutely shocked by this. As someone who works in the customer service industry and who has all her life, I can confidently say that I would be fired if I ever said this to a paying customer. That being said- I understand everyone is new at their job at some point, but to try and charge me $50 for wings and argue with me about the price when you KNOW you’re new and may not have all the right answers? Unacceptable when you’re working in customer service. The absolute worst customer service experience I’ve ever had anywhere, hands down. The manager deserves to be fired for how he spoke to me. I order from here every week! And tip EXTREMELY WELL for being 5 minutes from them. We ordered their Gioninos Best last month and it had so many toppings on it, it was literally falling off the pizza 👍 ! Heck yes! Now we just ordered the same pizza tonight and it was literally half the toppings than the pizza we received last month! Now this pizza is almost $30 for a large. It is not cheap! When we called in to ask them about it, they said “ Oh well, if we put a lot of toppings on it, it don’t cook all the way through!” I told him that the last pizza cooked all the way through! But the thing is, he didn’t apologize, he didn’t offer us a discount for the next order or anything. I ordered on Sunday (6th) for my brother's birthday as he likes the food here. We got it delivered (4 Pc Mixed Chicken, Steak Sub, Antipasto Salad and Garlic Bread). Everything but the Antipasto wasn't up to par. There was hardly any ham or salami. I called and the person that answered said the manager was busy and will call me later. Monday, Tuesday still haven't heard from the manager. Wednesday, I called and spoke to Frankie (claimed to be the Manager) and he responded that I should have called the day of the order.
