How much you enjoy this restaurant is seriously dependent on the patience you have for family owned and operated places. I hope they get better as they've only been established for about a year. When we went on a Wednesday, there were five parties and one waitress- the mother of one of the owners, it turned out. She also seemed to be bartender, cashier, and seemed to help in the kitchen. We ordered an appetizer, one 12 inch pizza, a sandwich and the cinnamon bread.
Our appetizer had to be changed because they were apparently out of whatever ingredient made the difference between their garlic dippers and cheese dippers. They were out of the cinnamon bread, so we went with two admittedly good cannolis. We waited a full hour for any of it to arrive, chatting and watching the screensavers go by.
Neither of us were drinking, so we seemed to get significantly lesser service but that could equally have been the silent wait for our appetizer to come out of the kitchen that made it feel so little. Once the food arrived, it was all very very good. The pizza wasn't Domino's, wasn't DiGiorno's, and you could tell it was made to order from the taste. I want to make it very clear that is was very good pizza and very good cheese bread. It just didn't make up for the wait or the other, smaller things.
The scrolling screensavers used AI art, which is an automatic 1-star for atmosphere. There was a pressure to drink if we wanted any service. I'm in recovery, so I felt that. I saw the jar of maraschino cherries for my Shirley Temple open for the entirety of our time there and wondered if that was a health code violation. I wanted to have a small family-run business's back, but they have some serious work to do before I...
Read moreThe service alone will be the demise of this place. All the poor reviews are based on that. After reading others I felt compelled to share my experience. We arrived before the remainder of our party by 10ish minutes but didn’t have anyone come take our drink order until everyone had been there for another 10 minutes. They were out of the main drink I wanted and settled for something else. We ordered our pizza and when it was brought out my friend’s dad had an extra topping that he didn’t order or like. We saved room for the dessert pizza, which was on the menu as cinnamon sugar and frosting. When the dessert pizza came out it had apples, cinnamon sugar and tasted like apple pie most people probably would love it but personally don’t like apple pie and had it said that on the menu we wouldn’t have gotten it. When we asked they said the menu will be updating to that version. We ordered multiple rounds of drinks and the only server kept forgetting. I’ve been in the service industry for over a decade and if you cant handle a whole restaurant with making drinks, taking tables, pre bussing and running food with little to no pep in your step perhaps reevaluate the industry you’re in or make sure there’s multiple on staff. The owner doesn’t reply to comments/reviews in general anymore so who knows what’s going on here.
Last thing, saw another review where the server attempted to give guests food the server mistakenly dropped off at another table which is...
Read moreSuper busy opening for the staff, but everyone was super nice to us! We walked in expecting crazy, and we saw it was handled as well as we could hope. We got a pizza and three mixed drinks betweent he two of us.
The cheese blend on the garden pizza was fantastic! I'm not the biggest fan of the texture of the mushrooms they used, but the flavors of the whole pizza went super well together.
The pineapple mix drink and the key lime mix drink were super tasty. I'd order both of those again in a heartbeat. The cucumber martini was tasty, I'd add some mint (garnish or otherwise) to clear up the nose or turn it into a sweet vermouth based martini instead of dry.
I'm a big fan of olives and had a lot to choose from, food, and drink wise.
I look forward to this buisness settling in and trying the burgers when they get...
