Let me start off and say we have been here a few times and Our bill is always over $100. We did their "pours of distinction" and spent $100's on it alone while eating here. Food has always been ok but the previous visit I got a well done steak instead of medium rare , they replaced it but took 15 minutes and everyone was done eating . Well tonight we had a party of 3 and we are drinking top shelf and we order 2 filets and a hanger steak. Both filets ordered medium rare and came out medium well. We bring it to the servers attention, showed her , she agreed and she did offer a new steak but we didn't want to wait so we said we would eat it but it's not right. At that point she should of let a manager know and did not . We were discussing a really private issue and just wanted a good meal and drink and didn't want a big production and multiple interruptions that come with an over done steak. So we figured they would buy a drink for us or offer a dessert, discount the incorrectly prepared food.....nothing . Tab came in at $185, we asked to speak to a manager, she apologized and I handed her my card and said just do what you feel is right and run my card. I didn't expect the world, maybe half off each steak or a drink or something. She comes back and ran the card for $10 off the whole meal...... so they thought $5 per $35 steak was a sufficient discount for over cooking and ignoring the situation . Normally I don't punish the server but she totally brushed off the situation so I still left $10, which made me cringe to tip below 20%, but she didn't help much. All our previous visits are 25-30% tips that can be verified as well so no one thinks we are being cheap. The kicker of the deal is on the way out I pulled the owner aside and told him the situation and he said " you didn't let me fix it" I told him last time it was over cooked and it was a production , tonight was not the night for that and you insulted us by over cooking the steaks and thinking $10 off a $185 tab was a good gesture. Given we liked the high end liquor selection and the food has been good so far minus the last time and this time, but to look me in the face and offer 10 bucks off and say "that's the cost of the steak so I feel that's fairâ We really liked your spot , spent money and enjoyed the service but tonight you showed us what you think of returning customers that spend money and expect it to be right. The situation didn't allow for a big production , I told the server , I told the manager and then I came to you and $10 is your offer. Best of luck but we...
Read moreWent there last night. Ordered 2 cocktails and an appetizer before our entrees. One of the cocktails was fine. The dirty martini was not. We told our waitress that we were unhappy with it that it was not an appropriate amount of alcohol for a dirty martini and tasted like olive juice. We asked her to bring us a straight up vodka martini instead with a lemon and lime. Next thing we know a lady whom weâve never seen is standing at our table telling us she wonât make another drink. There was a bit of debating regarding remaking the cocktail. I finally said weâre not arguing any more over this. Weâll pay for a new drink as well just make her what she wants and go away so we can enjoy our evening. She then throws us out and says Iâll go get your check. Haha. We got up and left. My view on this is she was incredibly rude from the moment she approached our table. Why on earth would she refuse to make us another drink when I said weâd pay for both. Arguing over $10-$15 has no value for me and I simply wanted to move on and enjoy my evening. She couldnât let it go. Proceeded to tell us there was 6oz of vodka in the drink. She measured it. How could there be 6oz of vodka? There wouldnât be room for the vermouth or brine! I believe she didnât want to bring us a straight up martini because possibly the vodka is watered down. I see no other explanation since we were willing to pay for both. Besides the argument about the drink her whole demeanor and how she approached us were unprofessional. We were also called classless by the gentlemen at the hostess stand as we left. I said classless is arguing over a f-ing $10 cocktail! We then went to Longhorn. Had exceptional cocktails and steaks for $10 less than we would have spent at Brix. I always try to support small businesses. However, I will never patronize this business again after the fiasco and rudeness experienced that night. SAD! đ BTW The bread is...
Read moreMy friend and I went here to chat and enjoy dinner but it's only now that I have time to reflect on the meal that I realize I was robbed of $40. First of all this place is stupidly expensive. Literally nothing 'cheap' on the menu if you don't want to spend too much. I ordered a happy hour drink and asked if the cranberry juice could be substituted with something else. Our waitress, who was very nice, went to the bar to ask. But I wish she would have asked me if whatever the bartender was mixing in was okay instead of just telling me it was on its way. The drink was terrible. Tasted like nail polish remover. My side salad and bread that came with my meal was good, but the meal itself was less than to be desired. I could tell the rice they used was 100% the same microwave rice you pick up for a dollar at the store. My friend ordered a panini, which was pretty big but he also paid a lot for it, and he ate half of it. The waitress went to box the order but as she's taking it away from our table she drops it on the ground. Which is okay because accidents happen but then I take a peek at my friend's bill and they charged him the full price for it, which I think they should have knocked half off the price since, ya know, half of it ended up on the ground. Not satisfied with this place. Probably won't be coming back.
Edit: had my leftovers from the dinner and found out that the meat was practically raw. I definitely won't be...
