Waffle House — Restaurant in Greeneville

& This is Waffle House, guys!!! You can always depend on the food being good and the women that work there- a well coordinated show of people that know their job. AND, even though they were extremely busy - each of these women were friendly and professional. They talk to you, they were ALL singing holiday songs, and having a good time while making sure all customers were taken care of! We went to one of the 'better', 'fine dining' restaurants 2 nights prior- dressed up, looking yo celebrate the holiday... the food was dry, overcooked, and tasteless; delivered by a server with no personality and not much knowledge of what the kitchen could do beside what was on the menu (can a dish be made with grilled chicken instead of fried, for example...). If that server had smiled, we would still be picking up shards of his face. That entire experience was horrible and cost well over $100.00 more than our experience at this Waffle House! When I pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant the waitress was standing right next to the front entrance smoking a cigarette, and ironically standing right next to a sign that said no smoking within 25 feet of the entrance. The cook was also outback sitting on milk crates smoking a cigarette. We went inside and were served promptly, but neither the cook nor the waitress washed their hands after coming inside. The men’s bathroom was pretty dirty and the toilet was clogged and unflushed. This food was served quickly and looked fine and tasted fine. I found a few foreign objects floating on the surface of the hot sauce in the Tabasco bottle, which was a little offputting. To top things off they had repairman in working on the refrigerator, which could happen at any restaurant but it certainly did not help with the vibe of this one. What a nasty place¡!!!!! By the time my granddaughter got her waffle I was half way done w a messed up egg and ham w hash browns. The egg wasn't an omelette like it was supposed to be it was an egg meant for the trash can, the waffle was supposed to be peanut butter chips and the waitress didn't care and sloped some chips all in one pile and placed it in front of my granddaughter, the syrup bottle was so sticky and nasty. And the bacon was a chopped up mess, had to order a second order of bacon so Emma could have more. The first order had two slices of bacon the second order had three slices bacon what's with that?
