Wasn't at all pleased with this restaurant. What I ordered was completely different when it came out. The waitress acted as if I ordered wrong and what she gave me was correct. Beef Taco salad with pepper and onions. Instead what she brought out had steak! I basically had to argue/go back and forth with her before she'd fix the order that she put in wrong (I know what I asked for) simply beef taco salad and add pepper and onion. When the wrong taco salad containing steak comes out she claimed that's what I asked for. Nope I asked for beef and to add pepper and onions! "We can't do that" was the response. After I said forget it I'd skip dinner she reluctantly went back to have it made as I originally ordered!! This should have not taken 4x for me to say thats not what i ordered. So i get the food and this version didnt have beans like the menu reads... smh!! I won't be back... I doubt my family will be either. My sister In law didn't even order anything that sounded remotely close as "taco salad" but that's what the waitress tried serving her. Not sure how you get taco salad out of Chimichanga. So we both sat while a party of 7 ate their meals until they could actually get ours right... they were about half finished with their meals by that time.... frustrating so of course wont be back! They also dont offer anything for birthdays. Whole reason we went to eat was to celebrate a birthday. Most Mexican restaurants do something special for birthdays... so this entire experience = no tip!! I normally religiously tip generously. But not when you make me feel like an inconvenience for you to do your job RIGHT!! Sidenote: they need to hire a professional painter because the paint job...
Read moreIf I can give this place 0 stars, I would. Decided to give this place a try after a long day at work. Waitress was nice, place was empty so we got seated quick. To begin with Chips and salsa (tasted like ketchup) were disgusting! After carefully looking at their menu I decided to order a chicken soup. The chicken soup was AWFUL! It was literally boiled hot water with grilled chicken! I could taste the oil of the grilled chicken. It wasn’t even shredded chicken it was just a chicken breast! I decided to let the waitress know about it (not sure if she was the manager) but her response was, “well that’s exactly what it is. It’s a quick meal, not an actual soup, it’s just something fast.” I said, “well maybe y’all should carefully state that on your mean, ‘chicken soup - HOT BOULED WATER with GRILLED CHICKEN.’” Her response was, “it’s the clients responsibility to read what they are going to order.” Horrible service!! Save your time and money guys, this place is...
Read moreGood Mexican food. Place is a little small. The service is good.
It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall place. The restaurant is narrow but deep. Unfortunately this means there is limited seating. There are only a couple tables that can seat 6 and if your party is bigger you are going to have to sit a different tables.
The salsa and chips, which is what all Mexican restaurants are judged on, are good. Chips cooked in-house. Thick enough to stand up to refried beans without breaking. The salsa is tomato based and is good. Served in the little plastic bottles it has good flavor. I would prefer more onion but everyone is different.
Food is always good. Consistently fresh. What stands out to me is that their tomatoes are always fresh and firm. So many places the tomatoes are mushy. Cheese sauces have good flavor, shredded chicken and ground beef are good. And the deep-fried stuff doesn't get over cooked.
Decent lunch menu with a fair number of options for a...
