The customer service here is usually really nice, but AVOID going to this place on Black Friday. Most of the stuff I ordered was purchased online earlier that morning, but some I had to try to find there. They had ALL toys on sale for 25% off â good deal, am I right? Well, they had a bunch of Nintendo plush, so I looked and found a White Yoshi and a Red Paratroopa, a Classic Sonic and Classic Tails. And then I went over ANOTHER isle, and found PokĂ©mon plush, and they had an exclusive winter Pikachu for $19.99. The line was pretty long, but that was to be expected on Black Friday. The guy working says it should take 30 minutes to resolve the issue, but it ended up being way longer than that. An hour and 45 minutes of waiting in line, and I see thereâs 2 people working at the register, and 5 people slacking off standing there doing nothing â SERIOUSLY? ON BLACK FRIDAY OF ALL DAYS? When we finally reach the counter, our cashier rings up the items - most of them went through, but the Paratroopa and Pikachu didn't. The 2 cashiers that are working ask someone who is NOT EVEN WORKING AT THE MOMENT. He hadn't moved since I walked in 2 hours ago, yet was still a worker. The Paratroopa was in a bin of other Super Mario characters near the Nintendo Switch accessories. The Pikachu was in a big bin of about 30 of these guys near the register near the TVâs and video games. Why they couldnât start up a second line there, I donât know. So, the guy goes to the back to see them â 10 minutes later, he comes back saying âTheyâre not in our database until Sunday." âBut why?â, I asked. They just said they had to start new database entries for them. Seriously, they couldâve just started a new database entry right then! All you need to do is take the sign and write down what it was! They've got a HUGE box of Pikachu's, have the sticker on and everything(Including the serial code), and mix the Mario Paratroopa with the other plush toys, so it looks undistinguishable in the other plush, and say you cant sell it? Nonetheless, this store has gone down far from...
Read moreBest Buy has managed to stay popular in the electronics retail store market where most all others have failed and gone away because they keep it simple. There are not many stores in this arena left open. The Web has made buying most of the products Best Buy sales convenient for those who have the experience to know what to buy. My family has bought almost all of our household electronics, small appliances, TV's, audio, computers, phones, and a few large appliances at Best Buy for the last 25 years. We often buy the extended warranties and Geek Squad protection packages which has saved us money each time it was needed. Speaking of Geek Squad, that service for the novice electronics user is invaluable if you ask me. Our local Geek Squad knows my family members by name because we have learned to buy the protection plans they offer. With those you get annual inspections of your computers and maintenance for your computers along with the installation of anti-virus software and upgrades depending on your plan. Incredible inventory and very fair prices contribute to our loyalty. We have always received excellent customer service at our local store and on-line if needed. The Deal of The Day email is one email I always open because I know if any item I have had on my radar pops up there the price will be unbeatable. Best Buy is our first choice always when looking for any item or product we know they may sell. I guess the best review I can give is that I have been a customer for 25 plus years for a reason. Best Buy has proven to be the best...
Read moreIn an effort to buy a TV for $675 from this Best Buy because the exact same model TV (besides 1 digit in the mode number) from Samâs Club wonât be delivered for a month, my $675 was sent away because they wouldnât price match. I was told by the manager on duty that day that it must be the exact same mode number or they wonât match the price. They are both Samsung 65â Crystal UHD TVs, and I could list all the specifications from each website showing that they have the same size screen and resolution and number of HDMI ports and George with stands and so on and so forth. The model numbers are UN65TU7000FXZA and UN65TU700DFXZA and you can look them up to see the same stock photos and everything. The manager wasnât willing to discount the price of the protection plan because he stands by the service the Geek Squad provides, but the Geek Squad doesnât travel out to where I live. He said that they will send a reputable 3rd party, and I told him that Walmart works with a company owned by All State that does the same thing, and I asked if he would just match the total price of $671.94. No dice. Obviously, he doesnât own the business or care about securing sales and profits. I have to say that Iâm disappointed, but itâs always been hard for me to understand why companies are so wedded to certain policies that they arenât willing to win a customer over who values good customer service and will come back and spend much more money for years to come. And $675 isnât a bad bit of revenue to start off that...
