Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Greenfield Township

I purchased lunch for a family of five. Person taking the order kept making me repeat myself. The microphone in the drive through is too low, they can barely hear the order, I always turn off my car so they can hear me. The order was not read back to me either, which is often moot because when they do read back the order they turn into speed talkers and I can’t keep up with them because they are talking too fast and they lower their voices.

Long wait for order preparation, 16 minutes. They did come to the window to tell me they had just dropped a new batch of tater tots in the fryer and that was the reason why the wait was so long. The person behind me was in a hurry and kept laying on the horn and yelling at me as if I was causing the delay. As a courtesy to her I did not cause a further delay by checking the accuracy of my order.

I asked for large combo drinks fries or tots, I only received one large drink, the rest were medium cups. They were entered as medium, so I didn’t pay for large combo meals. The fried items which were the cause of the delay were not included in my order. I received the fries in the kids meal, but none of the fries and tots for the combo meals were received. Kind of ironic to not receive tater tots and fries since the delay in receiving my order was due to new fries and tots being cooked. The orange syrup was out in the soda machine, my daughters orange soda was slightly orange colored soda water, it was visibly noticeable. The #4 SS double cheese burger with bacon had pickles on it, I requested no pickles, was told they didn’t come with pickles and they put pickles on it anyway. The #2 double cheese burger I ordered did not come with anything but the bun meat and cheese and it was horribly salty. It was either a super lazy preparation or part of someone else’s order that was mixed with my order.

When I called to let them about the issues with my order, and he responding employee said, “I didn’t mess up your order, you can come on back out and I’ll get you some new fries though”. Great I get to drive a half an hour to get the items they didn’t give me on an order that was delayed due to the preparation of the items I did not receive. One would think with the extra 16 minutes they could take ten or tureen seconds to check the accuracy of the order, maybe change a soda syrup bag. It is too bad I can’t...

Writing a review now because the manager clearly did not care about my complaint. When you pay nearly 18.00 for 2 foot-longs, fries and drinks you would hope that your order was correct.

My complaint was that I clearly asked for one of the hotdogs be made with ketchup only, and stressed this with the person taking my order, and they repeated the order back correctly. (I'll mention they had ran out of 6" hotdogs so we were forced to buy 12" if we really wanted one) When I arrived back to my office (10 minutes away) they added coney sauce and cheese to it. To an 8 year old who had been waiting all morning for this, it was the end of the world. (lol, if you have kids you'll understand) I didn't want to waste 20 minutes more on the road and probably another 10 minutes waiting on the food again so I elected to call to voice my disappointment.

The manager in charge did listen to my complaint, and apologized. However, you could hear in her voice a lack of empathy and any offer of replacing the meal (or hotdog) at a later time. Not that I needed anything at that point, but it would had been nice to hear some level of empathy. We felt let down, and therefore will not be visiting this store again. When we went the lights was off at 10,pm I had to go to door an ask if they was open .cars was pulling away. I noticed a large amount of mop water at the door she was standing in it.. we ordered are food at the speaker .it came to 32$ an some change . Omg the food was very gross idk if it's some kind of joke bc the girl knows me the tater tots was so hard and gross there was no potato inside just very very hard tater tots me an my daughter chicken bits was so gross popcorn chicken that is... It was raw in spots an hard .they said they had no cherrys bc it was almost closing time .also she ran my husband card instead of us doing it are self at the stall ... They gave us bad food on purpose.they was cleaning around where they was preparing food .my husband got a chili dog an is now in bad pain ..I know I'm calling the number an I want my food made right and my money back!!!
