I had heard of this place and my kids spoke to me of how good I was on several occasions. Not sure if I choose a bad day to go or if what my first experience there is the norm. My kids took their mother on mother's day, overall, I was extremely upset from the start, we could not watch the Chef that day, which ok, I can understand that, but you were still paying top dollar for a lesser experience, a very poor business decision. My experience did not get better, I choose to eat a dish not on the hibachi menu because if I cannot get the full value of what you are charging me, then I will not pay for that product. I chose sesame chicken and the dance was amazing, but the chicken was overcooked and strangular. The waitress also asked me what kind of rice I would like with my meal, I replied with beef fried, and was told I could only get white rice or egg fried rice with that selection. I go to other restaurants supposedly of lesser value and quality and make such a request and the may charge a little more, but I don't complain about that, instead, at kobe I was told I could not have what I wanted, and if I chose white rice it is the normal meal price, but egg fried rice is $1.50 more. Over all I did not feel this restaurant met the criteria to be as high priced as it was, and I will...

Having been to a number of similarly styled place, this one was middle of the road at best.

When you first walk in there is a lot of hope. A nice sized bar in the center, a fridge full of delicious drinks off to the side and pictures all over the walls (nice touch). It all went down hill from there.

Seated at the table, I was seated between to grills so the only person I could talk to without yelling was the person next to me. The rest of the party was a good 8-10 feet away.

The menuis robust but I can only speak for what we ate (shrimp, steak and filet mignon). The food was all well under seasoned and no dipping sauces. They had trays for dipping sauces but the first thing the chef did was stacked them up and move them away. I think the only thing the chef said was enjoy about 40 times.

Positives: The drinks were good and they made.up for the quality of the food with the quantity. It was...

Pros: Excellent food and drinks, good hibachi chefs, fun time, great sushi.

Cons: poor service, staffs kids running around

We used to go here a lot and the food and service was excellent. We went once since covid and thought maybe it was just short staffing that lead to poor service and kids running around and playing, but we have since returned and had a sadly similar experience. The waitress seems like she lacked training (we had her twice over the course of 6 months) and while she seemed to be trying hard she really struggled to get our orders right, to get us things, she rarely checked on us, etc. It's close and convenient so we'll likely give it some more chances and hope as covid slowly wanes that they pull it back together, but our last few experiences have...

This was a surprisingly good dining experience! We did not do the hibachi option and sat in the regular part of the restaurant instead. The mushroom soup has a delicious beef broth that is hearty and perfect on a cold winter day (very flavorful). The shrimp tempura appetizer was surprisingly large (8 pieces) and this is why I gave it a 4 star vs a 5 star rating: the batter was very thick (although crispy) and 2 of the 8 shrimp were not deveined (I get very grossed out by that!). Otherwise the sushi rolls (salmon, tuna, yellowtail), miso soup, salad, and ginger chicken were very good. Would definitely stop here again on our way home from the Berkshires back to Boston! Very friendly staff and a kid friendly atmosphere.

We had an amazing experience here for my daughter’s birthday! Staff made sure she felt special for her birthday with a cute headband , singing and free ice cream with candle! The chef was entertaining! I also loved their idea of taking photos of their guest and posting them all over the restaurant, makes you feel like VIP! Staff were very friendly & I would recommend and they have big portion sizes! Leftovers are a must! I think the only thing we would change is the chicken.

Larger Japanese restaurant with a huge menu and multiple Hibachi grills. Service was attentive... nice feature having the service button on the table;-) The hibachi area sounded like a ton of fun, but we opted to sit at a regular table to tackle the Sushi rolls! The specialty rolls menu was extensive and we had the Kraken, Tobiko Rainbow, Firecracker, Volcano, and Roger Rolls. All were good, favorites were the Firecracker and Roger Rolls.
