As a Diamond member, I am extremely disappointed with this particular hotel. Hilton corporate office, you need to take a good look at this hotel and do some well needed upgrades. We spent three nights, Fri 7th - Mon 10th of July. Those three nights cost us over $900 (I used my points and paid just over $220 for difference) Now the issue is not paying that amount, the issue is paying that amount to stay in a sub-par hotel. Allow me to explain - first off, the staff were very friendly and courteous (counts for 1 star) and the location is very convenient (counts for the second star), restaurant, convenience store and friendlys all within walking distance. Now here’s the problem, I believe you should get what you paid for and this hotel, at that price, was definitely not worth it! The hotel is old, the towels are stiff and not fluffy anymore, the sheets didn’t smell too good, the pillows were yellow, the lamp shades in the room were stained, everything was dusty, the curtains are falling apart, (not to mention, I had to hook the side curtains back up myself as they were falling down) the wall paper is lifting off the walls, the air conditioner in the hallway rattled all night and didn’t work because the hallway was Luke warm, the hairdryer attachment is on the wall but the hairdryer is in a pouch under the sink and the furniture was delaminating. Not cozy at all. The breakfast was okay, however, during our entire stay, the waffle maker wasn’t working and when we asked why, we were told the switch doesn’t work. You mean there’s only one waffle maker in the hotel? Not at all happy with this particular location. What a waste of member points!

The adjoining door didn't close in room 304. When my neighbors arrived home at 9:30pm it sounded like they were in the same room. I called the front desk and asked to move to a different room. I was informed me they were sold out. At 10:30 I went online to look for another hotel. To my surprise saw vacancy in this very hotel and promptly went downstairs to ask in person for a room change. Was told again they were sold out. I shared the screenshot and was told it must be an error. Went back to my room and while trying to get to sleep received a call at 10:50 informing me there was a room and the clerk admitted he had not checked but assumed they were full. These pics tell the story. Signed, Very sleepy

This is the second time my husband and I have booked a few nights here. We love the king suite with whirlpool tub in room. Highly recommend it for couples! The tub works great, lots of hot water and the room is spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty left even right before it closed up for the morning. Pool is closed which was a slight downside. Also we asked for our sheets to be changing and they never were. We ended up having to do it ourselves. But all around great stay and may be back in the years to come. Get the whirlpool room!

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I like to stay at different properties across the Hilton portfolio. I had a subpar experience for my weekend in Greenfield, but it had nothing to do with the hotel.||As I always do, I checked in and chose my room via the app the day before arrival. I usually travel by train, so the plan was to arrive at the station in downtown Greenfield, and then contact Uber for a ride.||To my chagrin, there were absolutely no drivers available after I tried to contact them for the next 20 minutes after arrival. I did not see any taxi either, nor any information about them on the exterior of the transportation center, whose inside is closed on weekends.||So since was now stranded and was well beyond the timeframe to cancel the hotel (midnight the night before), I did the only transportation left.... I walked. Luckily there were sidewalks on one or the other side of the street, so I stayed out of traffic for my 1.7 mile trek (with suitcase).||Upon arrival at the hotel, staff was apologetic and concerned, but I assured the man at the desk that it wasn't the hotel's fault.||My stay went well. The room was ample size, comfortable, and everything like WiFi, TV, and climate control worked fine. Bathroom had plenty of space for my toiletries, and no problems getting hot water.||Before going to bed I tried to reserve an Uber car in advance for a certain time (allowing for the worst) and went to bed with the impression that I would have a ride back to the station.||In the morning, I enjoyed breakfast. Until the time I had scheduled for my ride, indications were that Uber would bring me back downtown. It was starting to rain, so a ride would have been appreciated. At the time my ride had been scheduled, I got a message that Uber had no available drivers in the area. Here we go again. I spoke to the clerk at the front desk, and he was helpful in trying to locate a taxi company -- but the phone numbers were disconnected when we tried to call. Finally with time ticking by and the train's departure time growing nearer, once again I set out, umbrella in hand, and hustled the 35 minutes back downtown -- in time to make my train.||I thank both Steve and Hector for their concerns and their attempts to help me find transportation. Obviously it was Uber who let me down.||As for the hotel I would recommend this location --- that is, if you plan to arrive via your...

I stayed here for 5 nights for business and regretted it. I travel for work and stay in hotels 5 nights a week. With almost 60 nights in hotels since November 2018, I've stayed at many hotels, good and bad. This location is the worst experience in terms of customer service I've had thus far.

I checked in online via the Hilton iPhone app thinking that it would expedite things since I was arriving around 9 pm. When I got to the hotel to check in after a 2hr drive on a Sun night, a miserable young man named Austin who was working the front desk made it clear that that online check-in annoys him immensely because it was more work to look up the guest. I asked for a room key and he asked why I wanted one if I signed up for a digital key. Geez, maybe because phones die Einstein 🧐 Never has any hotel made me feel bad for using their online checkin until now.

Their housekeeping staff, Angie and the maintenance guy is superb. I had a problem with my shower and they fixed it right away. Additionally, the woman that runs the breakfast Buffett was very nice and greeted me every morning. So was the blonde woman that checked me out on Friday. This is why it's not 0 stars. The accommodations are dated and nothing special.

Never got the Hilton Honors Gold benefits they promised. Not even a bottle of water. It's a joke. I'll stay at a Marriott from now. The Marriott Bonvoy app allows you to check-in, request extra towels and toiletries, modify your reservation, put in a room number preference if you're a regular, gives you extra points if you skip room service up to 3 days max, all via the iPhone app. And they don't give you an attitude when you use the app. If anything, this experience has made me appreciate the level of service that I receive at Marriott properties.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites in Northampton is a way better option in the same price point that is not too far away if you're flexible with location. If not, there’s a Marriott Courtyard in Hadley/Amherst not too far away from Greenfield. It's worth the...

We went to Turners Falls for a concert, and since there were no hotels there, we booked this. We've had excellent experiences at Hampton Inns for years, so we expected the same. The plus side: Comfortable bed, clean sheets, good cover, heat and AC worked. The down side: Where do I begin? The floor had bits of wrappers on it, looked like shreds from candy bars. The vertical grab bar for the tub was coming out of the wall, quite dangerous if you'd needed it to help you with balance, or getting in and out. The tub drained so slowly that within 3 minutes of starting a shower I was calf-deep in soapy water. The sink didn't drain. The toilet flushed itself. But worst of all, the AC/heat had a slightly musty smell, so we pulled off the cover thinking to at least remove the filter if it wasn't fresh. That would have been fine, but this air filter - and the inside of the machine - had never been cleaned or changed. A cursory run with a vacuum hose would have made all the difference in the world. Let me go on to breakfast. I went to the front desk at 7.30 and said "You need to write up a trouble report for room X." The man there said hm, he'd never written one before, couldn't find any report forms, but began to jot it down on a piece of paper. He didn't quite believe me when I told him about the grab bar. By the time I got to the disgustingly filthy filter and surrounds, he'd lost interest. Breakfast was... awful. Tragic. The "Applewood Smoked Bacon" was your basic microwave bacon, supermarket generic brand. The potatoes, such as they were, cold. I asked the woman working the breakfast if there was any ice and she said "You got a glass?" No, I said, but I'll get one. I walked out of the breakfast area to the coffee bar and returned with two cups, at which point I got my ice. We were all Hilton gold or platinum. Everyone complained about their rooms - the dirty carpets for starts. No apologies, no offer of points, nothing. Do...
