Please give careful consideration to other alternatives before booking a room at this poorly run motel/hotel. We were part of a wedding party who booked rooms at this Days Inn only because the Hampton Inn next door was fully booked. With a contract stating that the wedding was to begin at 3pm, all guests were told upon arrival that checking in even 1 minute before check-in time (3pm) would incur a $40 additional fee. Nowhere is this policy printed, offered when reservations are made or otherwise made known to the public. After we confirmed that our room was ready and objected to the additional fee, the smarmy, incredibly rude desk clerk told us (and this is verbatim), “if you don’t like our policies, you can go elsewhere,” knowing full well that we had a wedding to attend in less than an hour. THIS FEE IS A SCAM in no uncertain terms. Additionally, one of our party found hairs all over his bed and when asked to have it cleaned was told the “staff was gone for the day and no clean sheets could be provided.” Our room had pieces of food under the bed and behind the desk. There was no closet, and the meager rail for hanging clothes was broken. The bathroom had mold around the tub. Furniture was old, rickety, and overall, this was perhaps the most unpleasant stay we’ve ever had to endure. You’ve...
Read moreWe stayed three nights. On the first night our room key did not work after having it reset twice. So we were switched to another room and it did not work again until the guy at the desk reset it for us. The alarm clock and the phone as well as several light switches were all broken in the room. The air conditioner barely ran. On the second night we asked to switch rooms. The man at the front desk gave me a key for another room that would not open. So I was given a different room key. In total during my stay the room key did not work five times. In the second room all of our towels were covered in lipstick. The bathroom floor was covered in urine stains. The ice bucket was missing from the room. The morning of my third nights stay the fire alarm went off and that made me late for work. Upon entering the building after work on the second and third night, the front lobby wreaked of marijuana. The other guests in the hotel were extremely noising and there were scotches people walking around my car all night. Despite all of the ridiculous shortcomings of this hotel we have continuously stayed here because it is close to work and the beds are comfy.. they are stained with blood sometimes but they’re comfy. Oh, and the TV almost never works in any...
Read moreSo its clean and the bed was comfy. It is, however, very outdated. Things look worn and well-used, like the bathrooms. Its a place to sleep and that's about it, rooms are pretty small and some are tucked into strange corners. Worse than all that, though, and the reason for two stars is the terrible and poorly trained staff. The general manager is nice enough but every front desk person I've encountered has been a special sort of stupid. I have dealt with plenty of people during my wedding shenanigans, which won't be over til September, but these folks are awful. Several times people have called to book their reservations and the staff can't find our room block. I'm concerned its going to be that way going forward. That being said, the Hampton behind this is twice and sometimes three times as expensive, so take your pick. Most folks do AirBnB instead at this point.
Edited to add that several of the folks who did manage to stay here for my wedding ended up with terrible spider bites. (Not bed bugs, we checked, thank God.) One person ended up in the hospital due to it. And when we talked to staff they were completely unhelpful and just said, "It's September, it's spider season." Great thanks. Would...
