this McDonald’s is hands down one of the worst locations in all of Indiana.
I remember for the longest time I thought McDonald’s was cheap because the food was bad, like that was just part of it. It wasn’t until I ate at other locations and tried the food there that I realized this is NOT the standard, and I am NOT the only person who has said something to this effect. This is genuinely just a bad McDonald’s full of lazy people who don’t make the food they prepare properly or with any level or care at all. Limp, saltless, undercooked fries that have clearly been left sitting (not to mention the fries are ALWAYS half empty, if even that) burgers dripping in so much grease it’s bound to upset your stomach, way too much ketchup, and in general terrible portion sizes. Tell me why I ordered a coffee with whipped cream this morning and there was only a quarter of a teaspoon of whip on it? When people pay extra for additional ingredients it is NOT appropriate to skimp out like that.
This is food the workers knowingly send out. I’ve worked in fast food. It is NOT hard to portion things correctly, at all. You notice the quality of food you’re preparing well before you send it out. It’s difficult to miss. This is just people being lazy, sending bad food out with terrible portions hoping people won’t notice or complain. And for the most part, I don’t, but after this last visit I’m officially fed up. Some serious changes need to happen at this location. Pay workers more, set actual obtainable goals and standards, and hold your workers to these expectations. It is not acceptable that almost every visit I take to this McDonald’s ends with me dissatisfied. Nobody’s perfect, mistakes happen sometimes, but EVERY time? Seriously?
On rare occasions, the food is great. I know what this location is capable of, but nine times out of ten they fall short. There’s some very nice people working at this location. I just wish the quality of food reflected some of the awesome staff here. At the end of the day, this is the result of poor management. Very, very poor management. This location gets a lot of traffic & maybe if we paid workers enough to accommodate all the things they do, we’d see that reflected in the food they make. Dissatisfied workers result in dissatisfying food. McDonald’s can do better. End of. This needs to...
Read moreThis mcdonalds is frequently the most commonly busy resteraunt along this strip of the st. Rd. 9 access but the largest issues are the team members and their abilities to handle peak periods, emplotlyment difficulties with staff. Ive tried to handle these instances gracefully. The manager on duty refused drive through ordering for over ten minutes. The times im sure went down. The lobby serviced over 20 peopke in tbe 45 minute drive through wait i was experiencing while trapped on the inside lane of the drive through because of the number of cars in line and my location on the curve next to the ropes. I wouldve just driven through the grass to get out since both of my children were in the back of the car having tantrums from hunger but the displays prevented any movement from my position in line. There were more than seven vehicles behind me or i wouldve walked to each car and asked to reverse and i was hoping at any moment for a window to the speaker box to leave the line.once they started taking orders and began business again there were enough people going through i ordered. The resumed a 20 minute wait while the window guy appologized and tried to make his way to the back to assemble food while being told to wait by the manager in the burgundy. He ran to grab the food which was thrown all into the bags and no boxes for the two happy meals i ordered. The food was all present but the manager in the burgundy absolutely did not care and didnt want to hear the window guys requests from me. The guy in the back started yelling at her and while we were going through all of this my kids were throwing tantrums. I worked at McDonald's for three years. Im understanding but this was insane. My mother managed a mcdonalds for a decade- im very informed on the processes and requirments of each position and the load on...

Google asked if my review had changed: No.
Get off your phone and do your job. Nobody cares about your ring tones (2 managers giggling together including below mentioned manager). Honestly, the employees here tend to be relatively solid, but the management is straight ass besides the early morning male manager.
Original review:
To the shorter female manager with tattoos on her arms who works lunch rush:
In process means that the order is not completed yet. Now serving means that the order is ready.
Stop serving orders that are ready and setting the half completed order off to the side while you do the same thing for drive-thru just so you can get your metrics looking good.
I also suggest not grabbing hot coffee from your employees in training so aggressively that you spill it on them in front of everybody.
For reference, "Can I please get that DoorDash order that is a singular coffee that says it's been ready for 8 minutes?" Is a request - and a very polite one considering. It is not "telling your employees what to do" as you suggested.
Lastly, if you need further training on how the McDonald's serving system works, please let me know next time I see you in there and I'll be more than happy to train you on it - although it looks like the employees that you were training that day seem to be doing just fine understanding that once you serve something -...
