Update: Per the owners request, I have contacted the store via Facebook. He agreed that he would refund my money and comp the entire order. Today in the mail I recieved a coupon for a free large Toppers sticks. This was not in the agreed upon terms. But dont worry I screen shot his response! So nope, still never going back!
Let me tell you the tale of the worst pizza experience I've ever had. 3 weeks ago I put in an order at Toppers, this location. I ordered 1 triple order of orginal Topper Sticks, 1 triple order of Pepperoni Toppers Sticks, a Large Mac and Cheese pizza, a large Loaded Totz pizza, and a medium cheese pizza. This was for a Girl Scout pizza party. I ordered online at noon, pick-up was for 6:15 same day. Well apparently the store ran out of pizza dough, and instead of calling to correct their mistake they continued taking orders. Which supply and demand would notate that you should stop taking orders, or call people and let them know the situation. At 6:15, my co-leader was given a Mac and Cheese pizza and an order of Original Toppers sticks. He dropped off what he was given. He called the store, and I was given not enough pizza to feed the entire troop. Mind you, the $60.00 was paid for with troop funds. So they agree to re-make the order of things not originally made. By the time it was done, the meeting was over, and I still had 15 hungry girls. They went home saddened by the lack of pizza, as it was a party to congratulate all their hard work for selling cookies. So, I finally receive the remainder of the order, to find that the once again did not give us the correct order. They missed to Pepperoni Topper sticks and the medium cheese pizza. I call and speak to the Manager, Justin, and he tells me he is sorry, and that they will re-make the order. Honestly, I cannot eat it and the troop left an hour ago. I just wanted my troops money back! He said they cannot refund money, and they can only give us a gift card for the amount we spent, and he would send us the voucher. That was 3 weeks ago, to date I have not received any voucher. I am pretty patient, but this is ridiculous. You are in the service industry, and if you cannot provide the service dont be in the industry. Both times, the pizza was cold, and I still just want my money back. When my co-leader called to make things right he spoke to John, the manager. The man blamed us for their mistake of running out of pizza dough and outright told us, that we should have thought about that before we ordered. You had 5 hours John to call us and tell us there was a problem! He was extremely rude, and never again! He did some name calling, and belittling. I hope your franchise...
Read moreI generally dont make reviews. But in this case I felt it neccessary. In this location (27th & Layton)Toppers has been overall very good until this last 6 weeks or so. I order from Toppers frequently, the drivers even know my dog. Once or twice a week. Great food.
A month back or so I wanted delivery and ordered the Mac n Cheese with my pizza and got cheese curds. No big deal I guess, they were good, but not what I wanted. Another time more recently I ordered Mac n Cheese with my pizza again and got Cheese Stix. Again no big deal but not what I ordered. A week ago I ordered pizza over the weekend and it took 90 minutes to get delivered. Unaccaeptable... I got a free menu item for it. Thank You Toppers.
Last night 9-23-22 I ordered the special deal at about 9pm. Delivery time was estimated for 10pm. 10pm came and went, and I gave them another 45 minutes before I called. At 1045pm they said it was minutes away and that they were short on drivers. Common sense would say that if they are short on drivers you shouldnt promise a delivery time you cant make or you shouldnt take as many orders with less drivers. At 11pm (2 hours after I ordered) I called again they said it would only be a few minutes. I tried to confirm that and was transferred to someone else. Then I was told it was delivered a long time ago. (So which was it? On its way or was it delivered??) The guy said there was a black Camero in the driveway. I dont own a black camaro, I own a red pickup. At that point I knew he did t deliver it to me. Then I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then I hung up mad as hell.
Their service has taken a severe dive! I am pretty sure I won't be back. I hope you have better luck.
Just an update. On 9-24-22 I called.to make sure the cost of.my.order was credited back to me. I was on hold for over 30 min. Very very disappointing Toppers.....
I called again today 9-25-22 and was on hold for another 15 min. I did eventually talk to some one and the manager who could help me wasn't in. The manager called me later in the afternoon and did reimburse me and apologized. Monetarily we are even. Overall a little disappointing.
Today is October 4th, and I still haven't recieved my refund. I called the store and they took my information again to process the refund.... I will never go back. This...
Read moreThis is the first time I've ever ordered from this pizza place I am from out of state visiting relatives and decided I would buy everybody in the house pizza I was told it was good pizza. I ordered it on DoorDash one of my pizzas was correct The other one was completely wrong and I got charged full price for it when I called to make a complaint The person on the other end wanted to argue with me about the whole situation and then said take it up with customer service and hung up on me. Didn't realize a pizza place that had multiple franchises would allow their employees to talk to a customer like that especially a first-time customer that was looking forward to having their pizza. The family members that I am visiting have already told me that they will never eat that pizza place again and they're going to make sure they tell all of their people that they know never to eat your pizza again and believe me they know a lot of people so you might want to put your employees in check on how to handle customer service because it's not arguing with customers that is not how you handle customer service that is the complete opposite of handling customer service. I hope the correct people read this review and something happens about this because it is 100% ridiculous. And it looks like it's not the first second third fourth or fifth time this has happened at one of your franchises.
