I work in the area, so I ordered online and went on my lunch break to pick up my order. I walked in and the girl who works the register was having a conversation with a male customer at one of the tables. She barely glanced at me and continued her conversation. The conversation was definitely personal because I kept hearing her say things like oh I know him blah blah blah oh yeah, I’ve been there blah blah blah. She totally ignored and disregarded the fact that I was standing at the register, waiting. I actually stood at that register for seven minutes before another girl who was coming out of the kitchen came and asked if I was being helped. I explained to her that I was actually waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence because like I said I’ve been standing there for over seven minutes. I told the second girl that I was there to pick up my lunch and she immediately started looking around confused. Then the first girl came running and said oh I think this is hers and handed me my bag. Turns out the bag that was already on the counter when I first walked in was my lunch. Already bagged and waiting for me. I was so angry and disgusted. That first girl was really giving racist vibes. For context, I am Dominican, she was Caucasian. Anyway, I grabbed my bag and walked out. When I get to my car, I immediately start eating because I’m starving at that point and I only had a few minutes left to get back to work. My food was ice cold and to top it off, there were no utensils or napkins in the bag… and it was my birthday!! I will never step foot in this...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? From the second we walked through the front door, we were completely ignored and not even acknowledged. I will also mention that there was maybe 6 other couples in the restaurant. We sat down at a table (most of the empty tables were dirty, by the way). We sat at the table for 10 minutes, several waiters walked by and made eye contact, but not even a "hey, someone will be right with you" nothing, just plain ignored. Finally, a waiter comes by and takes our drink order and we eventually ordered our food. Our food was prepared in a decent amount of time and was visible, waiting to be delivered, but several of the waiters/waitresses just stood around goofing off with one another, talking about their weekend plans, rather than focusing on their customers. When we got our food, it was room temperature (because it had been ready, sitting on the counter). Not one time did our waiter stop by to fill our drinks or ask if we needed anything. By this time, were were ready to just close our tab and leave. I flagged our waiter down while he was still messing around and asked him for our check. He went back up to the counter and STILL was messing around with his friend and didn't bring our check. My wife and I were in complete awe. While we were there, we saw several elderly couples come in and leave because nobody came to take their order. I tried to call and speak with a manager, but apparently their phones don't work? I really do want to see this place survive, but with what we experienced, that definitely...
Read moreI came to this diner one morning with my son. After a brief wait, we were seqted at the table of the manager. She was the most unfriendly and borderline rude server I have ever encountered. Imagine my surprise, after we were left neglected and flagging down a hostess for assistance, to find out she was a manager. Your young hostess should not have to apologize and make excuses for a seasoned (at least in age) manager.
What is even more perplexing is that a man and child were seated behind me. Even though she had been told I was waiting for assistance, she continued to ignore us, instead choosing to take her time taking their orders, all the while smiling and being amiable to them (a shift in her personality we had not been graced with). When she finally made her way to our table, there was not even the hint of customer service or politeness... no apology for the delay.
I could only assume why she picked and chose who to give a quality experience to and who she chose to mistreat.
My son and I used to go to a diner once a week before school when he was at a different location. I had hoped this would be the new location for our tradition. However, this "manager" and establishment clearly does not value ALL of its customers equally and based on other reviews, service is not where it shines. We will take our business elsewhere. The owners should really reevaluate who they allow as the face of their business. If she is the manager, it is likely her horrible attitude is trickling down to the rest...
