Are your prepared to read a very long and in-depth reveiw? Because, if so, hold tight! This place is the simpliest way is "Outstanding". From their wonderful cashiers who upsell beautifully (and not in a cliché or annoying way), their awesome cooks who make good grub, to the friends who can actually make there.
My fiancéé and I are from Florida. When we first heard of a "Big Burger Spot" we thought it was origonally going to be a gimmicky place, like most places where we are from. But, truely, this place is NO JOKE. Their burgers are HUGE. They will fill you up more than you can imagine.
Not only are they huge, but their options for their burgers are astonishing, from; different buns (brioche, yum!), different topping (I get avacado and egg), different patties (vegetarian option too), and delicious sides. What is there to not love?
Being next door to a gas station (or convenience store, however people from North Carolina call it) you would think it would be a good option to just get drinks there. You're wrong! Big Burger Spot's milkshakes are so creamy and just rich enough that they aren't too sweet to hurt but just sweet enough to get my chocolate addicted finacéé in love! Their soda machines always seem cleanly as I take notice of staff members cleaning it quite often! I typically try to take notice of that when I frequent a place but with the cozy atmosphere ylu don't have to.
Even though inside is so cozy, it can get loud! For good reason! It is an emerging icon in people's eyes as it is suggested by people all over to go to - this store specifically! So, as you wait and decide whether you want that ahi tuna burger with egg and avacado or the lonestar with some truffle fries, as you wait to order you'll have all the time to admire all the ingredients you can add which are listed on the left side of the room; along with some recommendations that taste so good. Another quirky thing you may take notice of is the fact they tend to stay up to date on socail media and trends (calling their vegetarian burger an impossible burger! Fantastic) And, luckily, if waiting isn't your thing they have online order! It's a God send!
Now that you've seen what they have, you ordered, and now you're waiting you have two options! Their cozy indoord area that has a television or their beautiful outdoors area. It is filled with a beautiful mural that you just have to see to beleive. It left me in tears. It's a tranquil and quieter area to eat and sit with loved ones of all kinds furry or not ♡
But, don't fear, sitting out there isn't even a problem. Know why? They have an awesome speaker so when your order is up, your name is called loud and proud. These fine men and women work hard and put their life into their food and store. As you take that bag and thank them, remember that no matter what this is will probably be the best place you have ever gotten...
Read moreBig Burger Spot is reasonably cheap, quick and good (relative to $5-7 burgers). While many restaurants nowadays have workers who show signs of impatience, this particular restaurant has wonderful customer service that exhibits calm composure during times of customer blunders. They are friendly, cooperative, and show obvious signs of successful teamwork, which is very much appreciated in the modern times of opportunist young adults. Though the staff was delightful, the food was average. They have a wide selection of toppings and menu items but the quantity easily exceeds the quality. The food itself showed no significance and the lack of specialty immediately dropped my opinion and future expectations. While the turkey burger was pristine, the angus beef could have easily been confused with the restaurant's competitors and similar fast food establishments-- Five Guys, Cookout, Hops, etc., to mention it was also a tad dry. A restaurant must outshine its competition through a special "it" factor, a "Why should I go to Big Burger Spot?" Unfortunately, this chain lacks it. For comparison, I did not experience Ego's epiphany and outburst of tastes when he took his initial bite into Remy's ratatouille, seen in the infamous yet underrated Pixar film, Ratatouille. Many restaurant-goers may look at this restaurant and easily choose it for it's convenience, but I do my best to refrain from participating in selling myself short for a quality, outstanding burger. But shall I come here again? Of course. Isn't that the underlying theme in the modern world? Convenience and cheap prices over...
Read moreThe absolute rudest encounter I’ve EVER had in a restaurant. We have eaten here several times in the past and always enjoyed the food. We came in tonight at 7:45 and ordered food. We were eating and at 8:04 a staff member came over and told us they were closed. We started eating as fast as we could but at 8:08 another staff member came over and told us to leave, that they’re closed and need to clean. We were already getting ready to leave and I asked if I could refill my drink. No they said, they’d already taken off the spouts. I did walk up to the window and tell them it would have been nice if they’d told us when we ordered that we couldn’t eat in there. She responded “that’s why your food came in to go boxes”. I did reply that I didn’t know that’s not how it always comes and I genuinely did think it always came in styrofoam containers but maybe I’m wrong. Either way, the staff is so incredibly rude that I’ll never go back. This could have been handled in a much more professional way. Whoever is the owner/manager needs to do some serious staff training. Then they might not need a sign that says “Employee of the day is whoever shows up on time for their shift”. If they keep treating customers like this, they’ll all be looking for jobs.
Also to note: there was another table with 2 women and 4 kids but they didn’t say anything to them and I assume that table was family of one of the staff.
I intended to find the owner and send an email with a pic of the rude employees but since she thought she’d be cute and pose, I’ll just post it here for...
