I visited Los Chico’s Mexican restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina, on July 27, 2024, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the Fajitas Nachos with steak and a tea and lemonade mix. The drink was so watered down that it tasted almost like plain water. When I politely mentioned this to the server, she brought me a replacement, which was slightly better but still quite watery.

After tasting my entrée, I realized I didn’t like it at all. Given that the restaurant was almost empty, with only about five other customers seated, I thought it would be reasonable to request a switch to another menu item. However, my waitress informed me she needed to ask her coworker. When the coworker arrived, she bluntly stated that I was responsible for what I ordered, and if I didn’t like it, that was my problem. She said they don’t do refunds or exchanges under any circumstances.

I asked if she could at least advocate on my behalf and allow me to switch to a different entrée, even offering to pay the difference if the alternative meal was more expensive. She simply apologized and reiterated that they were unwilling to accommodate my request.

When I asked to speak to the manager, I was shocked to learn that the coworker I had been speaking to was the manager. She seemed amused by the situation, which only added to my frustration.

I’ve never encountered a restaurant so unwilling to create a positive experience for their customers. Despite the poor service and lack of consideration, I paid for the entrée and left the meal—barely touched—on the table.

I’m leaving this review not only because the entrée was disappointing but also due to the terrible customer service and the staff’s complete disregard for the opportunity to make a lasting positive impression. I would strongly advise others to consider my experience before choosing to dine at Los Chico’s. There are plenty of other establishments that value their customers and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great dining experience...

Honestly never had “bad Mexican food” before. I was soooooo dissapointed. Upon arriving we were one out of 3 tables. Took forever for someone to greet us not sure where anyone was… when we sat down it took forever to get out two drinks and then when our food came out adults food came our way before kids???

What I’m mostly upset about is the service. No personality not friendly and so slow and never ever checked on us about our food if we liked it or needed another beer nothing. I don’t understand with only 3 tables. I’m also upset that my food was COLD! How?! How could it be cold when we were one out of three tables. I got green enchiladas and rice both cold. My friend got chicken chips and cheese and verde not sure what it’s called and rice. Hers was cold too I didn’t say anything to her about mine and she’s like is yours cold too? 🤷‍♀️ her chicken breast was chicken jerky. Idk why this place has any good reviews maybe we just came on a bad day we were excited to find a new place near labauer park my kids and I and friends could start going to. Guess we will now...

Unbelievable how dirty and unprofessional this place turned out being ! First off , almost every table you can see around is visibly dirty. Next what do I witness ? One of their servers literally coughing in people's drinks right in front of me - Unacceptable. They had no ice but informed us the drinks were "ice cold" turns out they were luke warm. Shortly after ordering Food (which btw wasn't even worth mentioning until now) they bring out Large Chips & Queso thinking it was mine . Few minutes later another server comes by telling us that actually its meant for another table close by ... oh , Ok , sure no problem they say after taking the food away from us that we had already eaten out of and giving it to the other table. Moving on my water glass gets over filled due to carelessness causing more unwanted interruptions followed up poor attempts trying to make amends. I had to ask for napkins amd clean it up myself. The damages were done, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT in this...

We ordered 4 chicken a la milanessa, a very common dish at any Mexican restaurant. This dish that typically costs around $12, comes with rice, pico de Gallo, and sometimes retried beans. The cutlet sometimes is offered with or without a layer of cheese over the chicken cutlet. Every time we have ordered this plate, the size of the cutlet is so large that it hangs over the plate. I don’t know if this restaurant was trying to serve me a lunch portion or a kids portion for dinner, but it was clearly not worth $12.95. The taste was ok, but when you combine that with the tiny portions, you end up sorely disappointed. I just spent almost $90 for four orders of this dish and two appetizers. At nearly $20 per plate, you would think we would have received dinner sized portions. I hope the restaurant management sees my review and takes appropriate action to remedy this, if not, then the next person to read my review will know better. Best of luck.

Legit, the worst Mexican food I've ever ordered. Chorizo cheese dip was basically just milk, it was so watery and runny. Enchiladas barely had any filling at all! And they came in a half size, small styrofoam box. I didn't order a kids meal, but it looked like it. If this is what this place has to offer, they should probably go ahead and shut down 🤢. I feel like I literally just got scammed out of $24.65 getting this delivery from DoorDash. And what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn't give chips and salsa with the purchase of a meal? This one. One of those little frozen Mexican food TV dinners in the grocery store is better than what I got. Save your money. You'll thank me later.
