This is a fairly new establishment so it looks very nice. Parking is a bit much if you don't purchase a parking ticket in advance $25 smh. It is just outside the establishment so very convenient. The play was (New Jack City). It was a my first play at this establishment. Seat were OC G13 & 14 so great seats $250 plus for tickets. I must say I never been to a play where it seemed like everyone talked threw the whole play. Many were on there cellphones talking. The RULES about recording is prohibited but not here. Seems like everyone was taking pictures and recording the play. It was so obvious that the play writer said: I noticed everyone was recording so I recomend you all share it online. I assume it's to let people know about this play. But it could be because the last show of their tour is approaching. I don't know if all shows here are as unruly as this one show. I took some pictures and videos after seeing it was ok too. Oh ya, panelists for the play wasn't free as they are in many city plays. They were $10 each....... Visited 10-06-2023 for Lloyd, Ashanti and Ja Rule concert. I must say this was one of the best experiences at this venue I've experienced. Friendly and welcoming staff as well as very helpful in navigating this establishment. The performers were actually great at their jobs. Parking was great

It was a wonderful experience here for the Darci Lynne show! We were there September 10th Row E 9-10 Orchestra Left Center. It was great viewing, but, for the first half of the show, it was hard to hear for the music. I believe some of the speakers are right above that area. If the show you are going to has a lot of sound to it(such as a band like what played for Darci), you might not hear it if they don't configure it well. I know that the 2nd half of the show was much easier to hear, we heard most of everything that time. I really enjoyed Greensboro as well. It seems like a very nice city that had a festival at the time of the show. It seems very fun, and I hope to be back to explore soon. However, I am from out of town, but, could tell that there was a lot of homeless in the streets and around the park. That is to be sadly expected in any city, but, if you are sensitive to that, be prepared/watch out for the local park around the Center. Please don't take it as any invitation to harm anyone though! I have no pictures of the show happening because photography was prohibited of the stage during the performance, but I got some pictures before/during intercession/after the show.

My review is based on this being my first show here, Joe Bonamassa, and seating in the left lodge box. All employees and ushers were extra nice and eager to direct you to your seat. I was met by 2 ushers in the left lodge hallway who were very friendly and 1 escorted me to my box seat. They did not do that for anyone else, save for a lady in a motorized wheelchair in accessible seating. The venue was very nice and clean. Overall it gave the impression of being well maintained and trying hard to be upscale. The seating throughout had nice clear views of the stage as I took a stroll around the whole place. They have beverages and alcohol sales in cans, wine, and mixed drinks. Now for the bad. The sound was terrible, yes I mean awful!! Many people were saying the same in the restroom and on the way out. I don't know if it was bad just in the lodge area or if it was due to soundboard person the PA or house PA. It was muffled and way too much bass as it overpowered Joe's leads which was why we were all there. Also the show ended at 10:15pm! What I thought was break was the encode. To pay this much for tickets and only get 2 hours of music is plain a ripoff!!!

Very nice place! The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is seriously an awesome spot right in the heart of the city. I've been there quite a few times, and I've got to say, it's pretty darn great.

The place itself is just so cool. When you walk in, you can't help but notice the mix of modern design and artistic vibes. It's like they took tradition and gave it a stylish twist. Super enchanting, if you ask me.

Now, I know some folks might gripe about the parking garage being across the street. But honestly, it's not a biggie. The short walk over is kind of nice, actually. Gives you a chance to take in the surroundings, and it's not like it's miles away. Makes sense, given the city layout.

The shows? Oh man, they know how to put on a good time. From epic symphonies to captivating plays, they've got a lineup that's as diverse as it is awesome. And let's talk about the acoustics – spot on. No matter where you sit, you're in for a treat.

Cleanliness is a big deal here. You can tell they take pride in making sure everything's spick and span. It's reassuring, especially in a shared space like this. You feel good just being there.

To wrap it up, the Steven Tanger Center is top-notch for soaking in some culture. Yeah, the parking thing isn't a deal-breaker. The place rocks with its modern-meets-artsy vibe, killer shows, and the fact that they keep the joint so clean. Solid 4 stars from me every time. Can't wait to go back – it's...

I have been to regular symphony events, one film screening event with the live symphony, and some musicals. On numerous occasions, the Tanger Center has failed to deliver quality sound.

With the symphony, the space apparently dwarfs them and any amplification didn't hit well even half way up Orchestra Right (closest to the center side). With the Harry Potter screening, the volume of the film was so loud, or not in sync across speakers, that there was audible reverb with the dialogue. The orchestra was then amplified so much to be heard over the film that it was physically unbearable to listen to (this was in the middle of OC, thinking we might need to sit more centered based on previous sound experiences, but we'd have been better off at the back for this one).

The Tanger projection screen was also not fit for this purpose with no dynamic range for shadows/darks at all, and it was extremely blurry. It also experienced a technical glitch with a white overlay. Not worth the price per ticket. We left at the intermission. I've experienced better at outdoor amphitheater screenings in broad daylight with live orchestras.

The only shows that seemed to work were the musicals without live instruments. I don't pin the blame on the symphony as I have seen them at their previous venue. This is a Tanger issue.

The staff are great, and the facilities of the venue are fine, but it unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired with the...
