This is a bad review from a former disgruntled employee who is leaving this because he cares for his former co workers and doesn't want them to continue to go through what I went through. I had put in my notice to go to a slightly better paying job that was going to let me manage their kitchen. I gave McDonald's a chance to match the offer so I could stay with them cause I didn't want to leave. They told me that they would match but I had to work 30days with no problems. After I worked the 30 days I was told I wasn't getting the manager position but my raise was approved. Now months went by before I looked at a pay stub cuz the system they use is hard to get into but when I did I realized that they never gave me the raise. So I told them that I would quit unless it was fixed and I was reimbursed for the money I lost out on from working without the raise. Even though it was their mistake they wouldn't reimburse me so I quit. An this is only one thing I've had to deal with. They have some good managers there but they also have some who just sit around and give orders and get on to others for being on their phone or standing around but these same people do the exact same thing. They don't understand why it's important to lead by example and they don't communicate with the other managers so the crew is told multiple different things so they are always wrong despite doing as they are told. The managers also bend over backwards to let certain ones get away with doing as little as possible but get on to the hard workers for any and everything. So they are basically promoting laziness and favoritism over hard work and equality. I pointed out multiple things to multiple managers to make the place more efficient and productive but they wouldn't change anything. They'd rather keep certain ppl happy and have others quit instead of being fair and you would think the owners would want their business to be as efficient and productive as possible but supervisors/management doesn't seem to think like that. If this gets back to the owners I hope you learn to appreciate your hard working employees who do everything they can to make your business more profitable cause I gave my all just to be lied to by management and deflected by the supervisor to be robbed of money I earned after I gave up a better job to stay and I have 3daughters who I take care of so I can't afford to give up a better opportunity. That's exactly what happened tho cuz that's over 750$ I was shorted and the job I gave up is no longer available. Not every manager there is like I said and there are some really good ones who actually put in the work instead of sitting back and giving out orders and those are Maxine, Amy, Hannah and Savannah but the rest need to learn how to lead by example cuz it's easier to get people to work with you than it is for you. The way the others manage shows crew that it's ok to stop working hard when you get the position so essentially your pushing your employees to do something that you yourself won't do. Just last week the GM sat in the office on his phone over half the day and comes out immediately telling the crew to find something to do and it's not encouraging for us to work hard when our leader sits back with his feet kicked up...
Read moreWent here while doordashing had a order for a lady who was very patient and sweet upon going through drive through I gave them the name as you usually do with doordash then the lady over at drive thru said we never recieved that order which is crazy bc on my dashing app it says her order was at this McDonald’s so I thought this makes no sense. Then I proceeded to my dasher help and it stated I could order the food for my customer and they would pay McDonald’s the amount it cost it said show the employees I did just that and was hassled questioned. Are u sure ur gonna pay me? Are you lying? Like why would I be lying I was told doordash would pay u through my app what would I get out of lying I was practically being integrated then after I do this order with them the guy at the window says pull out your red card I said okay I went to use it thinking this must be how u pay. Keep in mind I’ve never done this before. But this is what my doordash app said they will cover the food and pay McDonald’s I’m taking my doordash word for it. But anyways I use my red card bc guy at the window says go ahead and use it. Then after I use it it says declined. I then said well I’m pretty sure doordash will give u the money bc it reads that over my app. He proceeeds to argue with me and say see I tell yall doordashers all the time are you sure. And yall say yes and then this happens he said u must pay for it or else this will make me look bad. I said no I’m not paying for that you can’t force me to!! He then says u gotta and my bf just hands him the money outta pocket for our doordash order.!!! I then am like wait no this just plain out isn’t right they are robbing us of our money! It’s always customers over you! And the guy at the front Rowan was more concerned with his job then US the customers needs! He robbed us of our money!! And then once we give in and pay him he proceeds to yell saying yall messed up this isn’t on me? how did we mess up when my DoorDash app said u will be payed? Read moreYall done found a way to turn something good into something bad. And what happens is whenever there is a mix up in discounts then comes the bad customer service. Then comes the managers that is willing to argue with customers. Then comes the lying pretending that the policy always been the same and the employees just went rogue out of nowhere. Then comes the bad employee morale and the poor food handling and so on and so forth such as losing the trust of a loyal rewards customer who have literally been attracted to McDonald’s only to save a few dollars on a sandwich and use promo coupons when that customer decides not to cook. Discounts are not supposed to be a mystery or a secret. If there are policies to whether a discount can be combined with another discount then so be it. If the system still allows the combination of a discount then that is considered a loop hole. If a manager decides to implement the loop hole in exchange for having to answer every call an employee makes for a manager code then so be it. Yet as soon as the entire staff get updated that it is not considered company policy to combine discounts there has to be a better way to inform a customer who has been filling out surveys for a lot of consecutive days and redeeming a free sandwich in addition to a rewards promo. Making a customer appear crazy or argumentative when that customer was just at McDonald’s the day before using the same method isn’t possibly the best solution and resulted in a manager dismissed drive off.
