Our group of four ended up at Qinji when the wait at Mizumi proved too long, but this proved to be the epitome of a happy accident. Cosmetically, Qinji is quite an upgrade from the previous ZC Hawaiian: the interior is tasteful and clean. The menu boasts many tantalizing options from predominantly Japanese apps to more than ten kinds of ramen to rice and noodle dishes to Hawaiian specialties. Vegetarians won’t be hard-pressed to find something here though the meat-eaters among you can take in everything from kalbi to Spam. It was the first visit for all of us, and we got to experience a variety of dishes: calamari, Takoyaki, spam musubi, veggie roll, Hawaiian pineapple chicken, loco moco, and a combo (katsu fried shrimp and fish and grilled beef). Portions were plentiful, and, as the entrees included rice and salad (green or macaroni) for under $15, quite affordable. While the musubi and the loco moco may conjure some odd associations for anyone who grew up with Spam or Salisbury steak, the food was largely a hit. The beef was flavorful, the seafood was well-breaded without being bone dry, and the dipping sauces complemented the apps nicely. Even though the green salad was little more than lettuce with a few shredded carrots, a terrific mango dressing (bright, crisp, and citrusy) elevated it. Qinji is nowhere close to home, and while that may preclude me from becoming a regular here, it is definitely a place I will look forward to coming back to during future excursions to northern Greensboro.

Food is fantastic! My favorite is the Fried Rice although the ramen is pretty damn good. Have not tried the bbq but look forward to my next visit. Super casual, reminds me of big city Asian take out with inside eating. Must try! My rating is on the food! Long review: The food is great; service is good, atmosphere is come as you are and below is my breakdown. Ramen is great with the pork based broth simmered with 16 hrs of attention and care resulting in delicious tender pork and rich broth. You have a choice of broth but I recommend the Tan Tan. Appetizers are really good with incredibly fresh calamari that is fried yet tender. The spring rolls are tasty and the pork buns are good; light and airy with a slice of that incredible pork. My son said this was his favorite! Surprisingly they have Kim Chee that was fresh and not a hint of sourness (IYKYK). Sides served with the combo: the Fried Rice is the best in town! As an Asian American it reminds me of how my mother would make it at home and is my personal reason for which I will return. Atmosphere: At first I was confused because the place was packed and there was a line at the counter. Interior reminds me of an eat-in take out that can seat about 35 people. Fountain drinks available and self serve with a small selection of Asian specialty drinks refrigerated. Utensils are all plastic including the bowls and plates; nothing fancy so when you get a craving for Ramen after work, after the gym or working outside no worries here.

This is the hidden gem of ramen place. We haven't tried the BBQ yet but we will definitely come back for it next time. As for ramen, it's by far one of the best broth in GSO. We ordered tonkotau ramen and tantan ramen. Both broth were rich and flavorful. Tantan was a bit spicy but not like Thai food spicy so if you love some spice you'd love it. There are 4 pieces of chashu pork we love the thick cut of them and they are super tender. The ramen noodles are soft but not squishy which is perfect. The boiled egg was well marinated in soy sauce and cooked well enough it's still a bit runny. The takoyaki tasted good but I eish they out the kotsu sauce on it instead of mayo so it could give the authentic taste of takoyaki. The cabbage could have been sliced thinner but to me I really don't mind it. Most importantly, it's super cheap compared to the value of the food. If we hadn't ordered takoyaki this meal for 2 would have been under $25 which is like $12 per person. You won't be able to find this price in GSO for a bowl of ramen anymore. The owners and staff were very attentive everyone constantly came to us and ask if we needed anything else as well as refilling my water frequently. Plus, the restroom was super clean. I've never seen any restaurants clean their restrooms like over here. I personally believe that if restroom is clean that also means their kitchen is also clean. That tells already how they are serious about food safety.

Food: The food was delicious and very cheap! My husband and I ordered a Hawaiian sun can for each of us, an order of Miso soup, an order of Takoyaki, an order of Mochiko chicken, and order of Tonkotsu ramen. All of this, was under $35. The sodas were what I always like in a drink when it’s hot outside. They were very light, fruity and sweet but not too sweet. The Miso soup was wonderful. I’m very picky with Miso soup because a lot of places will have a very watery broth, but Qinji’s Miso was just the right consistency! The Miso soup’s taste was herbal and very soothing. The Miso was also my husband’s favorite. I’ve never tried Takoyaki before and was blown away! The Takoyaki was very savory and melted in your mouth. The the Mochiko chicken good. Slightly chewy in some parts but the sauce on top was sooo yummy! It was savory and tangy. And lastly, the Tonkotsu ramen. People in the comments say it’s the best ramen in Greensboro…. Say that because they’re 100% right! The egg was cooked perfectly, the pork melted in your mouth, the bamboo shoots were cooked perfectly, and the broth was soooo tasty! It’s not too strong without being bland. Perfect balance of flavor! It’s so unfortunate that I don’t have a larger stomach so I could eat more of their delicious food. The ramen was my favorite and the miso was my runner up.

Service: The people working up front seemed to be a younger wait staff and what seemed to be the owner. The lady who seemed to be the owner was the one who took care of us today. She gave lovely recommendations when I asked and over all was super hospitable and friendly.

Atmosphere: I felt very comfortable! It felt very cozy and homey. We will definitely be back as this will be one of our new favorite restaurants to dine-in! Thank you so much for such wonderful...

Update: I have ordered three days in a row. Today im having their tonkotsu ramen for linch at work and its so divine. I know if I tried this first I wouldn't have tried anything else. Anyway, I am now addicted to this restaurant 😂 proceed with caution I had the Zasai last night. It was salty and spicy and delicious. I wasn't sure what it was sp I called to ask and was simply told that it's less sweet and more spicy than the Tan Tan. SOLD. It was delicious. And I had leftover kimchi from the night before. So good. Im sick right now and this broth is making my life worth living another day.😂

04/01/2025 I got the Tan Tan with an additional side of kimchi. It's absolutely perfect ramen. I didn't know what to expect. Its rich broth, that coats springy, firm noodles, and delicious, tender fatty, smoky, well seasoned pork belly. The kimchi is delightfully spicy and adds the perfect tangy kick. It was well packaged and separated to prevent soggy noodles. Listen to the instructions. Heat your broth. It's phenomenal when it's hot. The pollen count is high, and I needed a soothing bowl with all the sneezing and hacking I've been doing today, lol. This was the perfect solution. I will sleep so well tonight. And I think I may visit on Thursday if I have the chance to come by before I head back home. Thank you, Qinji! Delivery was amazing, so I'm sure they're much better in-house. Definitely WAY (like by MILES) better than most of the other ramen spots in the area. Hit this place first, and you'll save time and money being disappointed at other places in the area (sorry, not sorry😂🫶🏽). And don't skip the Hawaiian Sun!...
