First time visiting and it was phenomenal. I have been in culinary and fine dining for most of my career, and I wanted to try something new. The entire experience was amazing.
Noise level was a little high, but I was sitting in the bar area, not at the bar, but close by.
Ahi Tuna appetizer was super rare, the only way it should be. Bright red, not pink, and the flavor profiles were perfect.
Filet Mignon entree was cooked rare, the way I requested, and the composed dish was well balanced with rich flavors from the Demi-glaze and mushrooms.
My server, Miles, was attentive, not overbearing, yet courteous. I ordered my salad, appetizer and entree all at once. I never waited more than 3 minutes after finishing one course and the next arriving. All plates were removed promptly and water and cocktail refills were offered perfectly.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner (sit away from the bar for quieter ambiance.) or just for a night out. And I strongly recommend requesting Miles to...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations—especially for the price. I started with an old fashioned, which was $20 (significantly more expensive than the other cocktails on the menu). Sadly, it was not good at all—so much so that I sent it back and gave them another chance with a second one, but it wasn’t any better. I switched to wine after that to play it safe. The espresso martini was slightly better and more reasonably priced at $12, but still nothing special.
The food was also underwhelming. I ordered a $50 filet, which lacked flavor and was cooked well done instead of the medium I requested. At that point, I just wanted to finish the meal and move on.
I will say the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was very busy, so maybe I just caught them on an off night. That said, I left feeling like the experience didn’t justify the price. If you’re planning to dine here, I’d recommend sticking to wine and managing expectations...
Read moreMy husband and I eat out a lot, but we don't live near this area so we just tried Augusta Grill for the first time. I feel like we have been missing out. From start to finish, everything was fabulous. The service was undoubtedly the best we've ever had in Greenville. Multiple managers stopped by to check on us all evening. The bread & butter are homemade (the little things matter for a stellar restaurant), scallops, veal picatta, caesar salad, and blackberry cobbler were all top notch. You can tell it is all homemade. The drinks were great. Food is reasonably priced for a restaurant of this quality. I have to say that I was really pleasantly surprised about the level of service and food here. We will be back for sure. If you haven't been here, make it point to go. If you have... you are...
