Captain D's — Restaurant in Greenville

In the past yrs, I enjoyed eating at Captain D's. I went there recently and was very disappointed. I ordered a fish and shrimp meal, with French fries, slaw and hush puppies.. The service was quick. Quicker than usual... While I was waiting for my order, the cashier came out to the dinning area, to get some ketchup for a "to go" order. There wasn't any and she Yelled across the floor, to the back kitchen... "No Ketchup" !!! So that told that they didn't have any ketchup packets for "to go" orders. I went to get some cocktail sauce. It looked like it was watered down and no one had brought out any ketchup yet. When I went to sit down and eat, most of the tables were wiped off, the seats were dirty, with the trash that was wiped off of the tables! I looked at the meal... the shrimp was able half the size that they used to be. The fish were also. The fish wasn't even as thick as 2 plastic knifes, pressed beside each other. The fish tasted like deep fried breading, not fish. The cocktail sauce tasted Bad! The slaw, fries and hush puppies were OK. When I was almost finished with my meal, an employee finally brought out the ketchup. Then she went to wipe off tables. She did as I stated earlier, wiping off the table, but not paying any attention to the mess that she allowed to fall onto the seats. During that same time, she stopped multiple times to play with her phone... That same evening, my wife brought the mail inside and we had received a sheet of Captain D's coupons. I told her that she could just throw it away, because I won't be eating there again, any...

First of all I would love to have my money back because my meal was wacked. It was honestly one of the worst meals we ever had being 3 months new to Greenville, NC. The sign in the window said 4.99. We got 2 meals and 2 drinks. I paid about 19.00 !!! How can this be? I even asked the cashier was that right & how much tax was on it. She said, "well you got 2 drinks and it just adds up you know". Smh.. we sat & dined inside. When we got the food..smh the shrimp was fried so hard my dentures couldn't even cut thru it and it hurt to swallow it. Half the fries was cold. The crab cake was like a cardboard hockey puck & the hush puppy had NO flavor. It was like eating solid corn meal puffs. I even took my teeth out to see if it would taste better lol... and it didn't. I just ate the 1 piece of fish that came with the meal -which had a taste & wasn't so bad & the coleslaw. My husband said, "its terrible isn't it " shaking his head..i said," it really is. We know where NOT to bring the kids now. "We had snuck out for a quick secret date before the kids got out of school & It really cost us. I put all the food we had left in one container & gave it to my daughter who eats EVERYTHING. I didnt say a thing except,.." we got u something". After awhile, we looked & saw it was in the trash. She said, "what was that mom? Don't never bring me none of that no more". Lol..so...We left hungry and i had TOTALLY wasted my money. My grandma always told me, "Everything that looks good ain't good for you"!..R.I.P....

Worst place EVER. And it’s honestly not even the food. It’s mainly the workers I gave this place so many chances. I’m definitely not coming back. First of all the workers are unprofessional. There’s a waitress there, she’s kind of light skin and has long hair don’t know her name but she and my husband are constantly flirting with each other, which I feel is very inappropriate. There’s also a cook there that’s an older guy, he’s kind of slim. Everytime I ask him to cook my food a certain way he says he can’t do it, but every other cook there does, it seems like he just doesn’t want to do his job. He’s also very loud and it just ruin the whole atmosphere. There’s another waitress there as well that looks on the younger side , she a brown/dark complexion, she really doesn’t need to work in customer service, she doesn’t smile or greet us and it seems as if she doesn’t want to be there. Every time I call to complain to make a suggestion I’m dismissed or ignored by the managers there. The last time I was there I just did takeout because I don’t even like dining in anymore, so I requested that my food be extra crispy to that it wouldn’t be undercook and pinkish in the middle like last time. I was told that they don’t do special request and when I wanted to do a refund I was told that I couldn’t. I’m pretty much...
