ORDERED June 6, 2024 - Gave a tip and got 0-star service! Although the online experience was golden, the problem came during the delivery. I was tracking the order (which is normally pretty accurate), but while watching the tracking, the driver never made it to my area (stops about a quarter mile up the road) then all of a sudden it showed that it was delivered and complete. So, I now had to locate the store number to call and find out where they delivered my order to since it wasn't to my home. I talked to Alexander who told me my order was returned as undeliverable cause the phone number didn't work, which is odd cause it showed it was delivered and complete. If it was not delivered, why state otherwise? Likewise, Alexander tells me the driver showed up and couldn't figure out which apartment so he called; however, upon informing them that tracking had him at the wrong location, I was told my address was incomplete. Next, Alexander placed me on hold, upon returning the story was he couldn't deliver it because of an incomplete address, and it's "Domino's policy not to deliver to incomplete addresses" and that he's worked for corporate.
This is all quite interesting since I placed an order from the same location on 5/30/2024 and I've been at my address for 13 years with the same phone number. I clicked the profile information and my address and delivery instructions pulled up the same as always (just as listed on the previous receipt from 5/30/2024). I log in to my profile every time I place an order and my address, phone number, & delivery instructions are stored and I never have to enter anything (benefits of a profile). In the section asking "if I wish to receive text messages about my order" is when I MAY enter a different number for texting only (as I did)!
So, I entered a number and received a text that said, "Welcome to Domino's! This is Dom..." I also receive a text claiming the driver has "entered your neighborhood...", then "Get ready! Cameron is pulling up now." The only problem I was "ready," and nobody pulled into my driveway, and then the order was updated as delivered/completed. If I'm informed that you will be texting me about my order, I'm expecting text messages, not phone calls (least of all to a different number than I provided). If you're going to do the text messaging thing, maybe you should provide the driver's number or give the number I entered to the driver.
Also, can I send reply messages to the Domino's Bot? Like updates for deliveries or anything. Or have the Bot forward communication directly with the driver, so actual 2-way communication can take place in real-time. If the Bot is tracking the driver, then it should allow for real-time communication. If I provide a different number than what's on file, that will create a discrepancy in communication as I watch for text messages and someone's calling a different number. At my home, unknown calls do not come through, so, that's why the texting option is nice.
After some back and forth with Alexander, someone shows up after 50 mins and I finally get my NOW lukewarm order. Whoever it was didn't have anything on their vehicle to indicate they were from Domino's (no placards or anything), just a grey Ford Fusion. The sad part I gave a $5 tip to get 0-star service. Amazingly, I think I would've gotten the same service if I didn't tip! Domino's should have an adjustment to the tip during the feedback cause tips are for quality service and I don't feel comfortable rewarding people for 0-star performance! If your delivery drivers cannot follow GPS, why are...
Read moreI was in town visiting family and around 11pm I was suddenly starving.I ordered my food online which was the easy part. I had never been to this location prior and after the experience I had, will never use it again. I used google maps for directions, and they were spot on. However, when I pulled up all the lights in the front had been turned off. I could see lights on in the back where they make the food but to me it looked like it was closed. I got out of my car and went to open the door only to find it locked. There was a sign on the door that read "if your here to pick up an order please call ###". I had to go get my phone out of my car and I tried calling the number on the sign. After ringing about 20 times, I see a man come from the back of the store and answers...but then hangs up on me. I called back and was asked which order I was picking up, how I was paying, and then told to get back in my car and someone would be bringing my order out. After waiting another 10 minutes someone finally brings out my food. They while way home I couldn't stop thinking about how ridiculous that experience was. I couldn't believe Domino's actually let their store conduct buisness like that. Stay far away...
Read moreHistorically, my family has not been a fan of Dominos. Recently we gave them a try again, and it was incredible. We placed to subsequent orders from this location and both were 5 stars. However, tonight we placed an order for a Large, hand-tossed, pizza with cheese, pepperoni, and shredded Parmesan asiago cheese. Sadly, when we received our pizza via contactless delivery, the pizza was warm at best, has minimal sauce, and barely any cheese. The crust was definitely not comparable to any hand-tossed pizza I've ever had. It most most comparable to a thin crust pizza. When I called the store to express my concerns, I was put on hold for over 8 minutes. When the associate came on the phone and I told her of the quality issues with my pizza, she said "what would you like us to do"? To this I replied that I would like a refund or a replacement pizza delivered. She stated that she would write down my order number and give it to her manager, and make him aware of the issues and my request for a replacement or refund. I am very disappointed with the quality of the pizza and the customer service I received. We will give this location another try in the future, but I do hope I will not have a...
