Sup Dogs (Burgers) VS Jack Brown's Joint

Both burgers places are good but.......

(If you are lazy, millennial, and don't like to read just go to Sup Dogs)

For avid readers here is my review of both joints.

Sup Dogs (visited restaurant at night)

Food 5 stars

Sup Dog's burgers are better priced at around $8 for burger and fries/tots and it's secret sauce is superior to Jack Brown's.

Atmosphere 3 Stars as I prefer a quiet traditional restaurant

Sup Dog's is a college restaurant and it's always packed and very loud! Good looking waitresses hooter style and a sporty bar vive.

Small bar area

Service 3 Stars for takeout, will take some time for you to be acknowledged.

Service will be a hit or miss especially if you order take out at the bar. Would recommend placing an order online for takeout.

Small parking area that is usually full, you will have to park elsewhere more than likely.

Jack Brown (visited restaurant at around 2 pm)

Burgers are good and more "unique", like a burger on a donut kind of thing, but if you want fries you will have to pay an additional 3-4 dollars and the portions for the fries are small.

Smaller than Sup Dogs tables wise but longer bar. Not busy at all when I went but it probably gets packed at night and there are only a few tables as others mentioned.

You will have to struggle to find parking somewhere nearby as they do NOT have a parking lot!

Good looking staff but dressed a lot more conservatively than Sup Dogs for sure.

If you can only visit one restaurant visit Sup Dogs better price and = quality burgers. If you don't mind spending a little extra and want to try something different go to Jack Brown's.

Keep in mind burgers are relatively small in both joints so if you are a guy or are really hungry you will probably need two or order one with double meat You're welcome!

I don't drink therefor no review on drinks, but Sup Dogs bartenders looked really busy if that says...

Updating soon waiting till I try every thing so far o have yet to be let down and I'm on my fourth vist by the third I felt lie family thank you guys so much for an amazing place to dine and drink at and super chill! When I go to a place to have a beer and a burger I look at two things the price and the knowledge of the staff in their menu for the food and beer and what pairs well.

This place is up to and beyond my expectations price is extremely reasonable and their beer selection is fabulous.

My first burger was the Greg Brady with sweet potato fries and a Yuengling Hershey chocolate porter (recommend to me by Carmen very friendly)

The ambiance is for the up beat crowd targeted to twenty and thirty year olds, If you want a fantastic burger and a great beer this is the spot.

I can not recommend them enough not just for the food but for their passion towards great burgers and beer!

Great job I'll be back to try the menu for sure!

If you haven't tried this place it's definitely worth it I'm glad I did if you've been waiting to try your missing out!

As I wrote this review I actually ordered another burger the Friday Special - Ponch...

Went for a ride on the bike today and ended up in Greenville and heard that this place had a pretty damn good burger. The walls are filled with dollar bills and things written all over them. The ceiling has an upside down Xmas tree and women's lingerie hanging all over 🤣 This is definitely a college bar. We went in the middle of the day, so it was SUPER slow. I think it was us and one other table. Service was lacking, but the food was indeed awesome. I got the Elvis burger and fries. The burger was cooked super well and tasted awesome. That particular burger had peanut butter on it, which is something I'd never had before on a burger. Definitely added something to it and was super good. The fries were alright, and their house sauce is heavy mayo based and not a lot of other flavor added to it.

As a warning, this place serves burgers and fries (and fried Oreos). That is their whole menu though. Nothing wrong with that, just providing information. So if you're not looking for a burger and/or fries, look elsewhere 😊

Passing through town, for work, and found this place on Yelp. I’m always open to try a good burger place and this one did not disappoint. Free 2 hour parking, right up front, and the location was easy to locate and access. The wait staff was quick to take my drink order and keep my drink topped off. The burger names are comical, but the flavor is all business! One of the best burgers I’ve had in quite some time...and I travel across the country on a weekly basis for work, so that says something! Price wasn’t too bad, parking was easy and food was great = a definite stop if you’re local or even passing through.

We really enjoyed the burgers here! My fiancé and a friend joined me on a Sunday afternoon. It was a nice motorcycle ride from the Raleigh area. There wasn't a wait, and the service was prompt and friendly. We would love to have something like this closer to home, loved the unique options. I had the Greg Brady and my fiancé the Dr. Gonzo - both were fabulous. The loaded/"All Jacked Up" fries were very tasty. There was also a good drink selection. I didn't make it to the fair this year but did get a deep fried oreo - yum!!! We'll definitely be back, probably with more friends! Check them out if you can!
