⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Step Back in Time – True 1920s Home Cooking Luke’s in downtown Greenville isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a trip back to when meals were made from scratch, recipes were passed down through generations, and every bite felt like home. We started with Mom’s Biscuits, served warm with freshly churned butter and a real strawberry preserve—not the overly sweet kind of today, but the smooth, rich kind that actually tastes like strawberries. The biscuits themselves? Golden, fluffy, and made the way they used to be—no sugar, just real, honest baking. For the main dish, I ordered Chicken Fried Chicken with Two Over-Easy Eggs, Home Fries, and Gravy. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, with a crisp yet tender breading that didn’t overpower the meat. The gravy was thick, rich, and homemade—none of that instant packet stuff. The home fries were golden and crispy, and if I had to guess, I’d say the ketchup and hot sauce were house-made too—flavorful, balanced, and free from the overly processed taste of modern condiments. Luke’s doesn’t just serve food—it serves memories. If you’re looking for real, old-fashioned home cooking without the excess sugar and shortcuts of today, this is the place. 5/5, can’t wait to come back and try more!

New to Greenville so trying my best to try every place in the town . First timer , the location is beautiful and well spaced. They were not full at the time we walked in ( before the Sunday crowd ) our server did take a while to come greet us about 5-7 minutes . I was about to tell my family let’s get up and go . Young lady approached us took our order . Menu is simple but lacks more options . No hasbrowns/spinach for your omelette little things like that . My family ordered the French toast / chicken friend steak and chicken and waffles The chicken was plain not well seasoned . Waffles were okay . The maple spiced was my fav . Hot chocolate was bland with no whip ( that’s the first ) willing to give another try but new platters and more seasoning need to be incorporated.

Went to Luke’s today with my FiancĆ©e to give it a try! We’ve been looking forward to new restaurants and we’re very excited. Especially for a new brunch spot! Luke’s did NOT disappoint. The decor was lovely, the place was clean and had a very relaxed vibe. We were seated quickly and the service was great. We hope they add alcohol for mimosas and beers down the line- but the food was DELICIOUS! I got the chicken sandwich and my chicken was huge. The aioli and fries were standouts and the service was great! My partner got the Cajun style grits breakfast and literally almost licked the plate clean it was so delicious. We can’t wait to return for our next brunch date! Thank you, Luke’s! Greenville is very excited to have you!

May try again at some point but, very unhappy abbout service today. Took a long time to be seated even though we saw multiple tables available. We looked at our menus, set them down and, waited.....for ever! No one came over to introduced themselves or, to took drink orders. Finally after approximately 15 minutes, someone took our drink order but, we also ordered food(not knowing when someone might be back). We received our drinks and started the waiting process again. While sitting there we, noticed lots of others who arrived before us didnt have food, either. We are at 30-40 minutes in and we see food coming out but, it for another table that was here long before we arrived. A waitress finally comes by again and let's us know that they are very busy today and our order will be out soon. We looked over at the front door and around the restaurant. No waiting to be seated and a couple of tables still empty? Then we got excited....we saw food coming out but, it was for people who were there ahead of us! We have been here just shy of an hour and no food, no checks ups waitress....basically no service! We a got up, asked for the manager and, offered to pay for our drinks because, we didn't have all day. No charge for the cokes. Maybe this...
